Bug Flies In Your Beer ... What Do YOU Do?!

    After days of clouds/rain, the sun finally comes out in all its glory. So, I pour myself a tasty beer (in this case a Sierra Nevada Tropical IPA) and make a beeline for the backyard. As I'm enjoying my first sip (okay, gulp) I spy a tiny dark spot floating in the foamy head. I'm using one of those big Duvel goblets and there's no way I can get at the invading bug with my finger. And I'm certainly too lazy to go ALL THE WAY BACK INSIDE for a spoon to extract the unwelcome interloper. Dilemma? Not for me. I drink the whole beer and manage to avoid swallowing my guest in the process. Upon further reflection I realize I've NEVER forsaken a beer because of some critter. Which got me thinking (always dangerous): What about my fellow BAers? What would YOU do?

    Just use the pocket knife to pull the little guy out, no need to walk back into the house.

    Well, you got yourself the best drinking buddy...won't drink all your beer.

    I just pick the fly out and continue on. If it keeps happening then I get a coaster and put over the top off the glass.

    Just take it out of the beer, unless its a summer bbq and we are drinking macros with a filled cooler.

    A couple summers ago a buddy of mine sat his beer can down while pitching horse shoes. When he picked it up and took a sip, a hornet crawled out and stung him in the mouth causing his upper lip to swell up like a Kardashian's. He finished both the beer and the game. Much respect.

    That happened to me yesterday. I saw a very small bug floating in the beer. I tipped the snifter so the bug stuck to the side of the glass and I fingered it out. You think I'm gonna dump out a glass of Dogfish Head 120? I don't think so.

    Wasn't this a thread last year? Anyway. I would pour some out with the bug and then drink the rest. I'm gross like that I don't care.
