CANBIF Spring 2016 - Hints & Hauls

I'm glad you are happy. I had a 2/3 box full of Bourbon Barrel stouts set aside for this until I saw your likes and switched 'em all out for all the brett and sour I could muster here in the GTA. I'd let the brett work on both versions of Cuvee for a while. I had a second bottle of the first one a week ago and it has changed quite a bit from when fresh. Exchange is a new brewery in Niagara on the Lake that i think has gotten off to a pretty good start and they have exquisite packaging.

My Targets box is now due to arrive on May 10th. If it gets stuck there maybe my target can take 45 minutes to go pick it up.

 

Great! Glad it all made if safely! That until proven guilty is the BA version and it's one of my favourite releases from an Ontario brewery last year, enjoy!

And yeah, Eric's trip was the answer.

HINT 4/ COMMENT:
My box much like all my meetings at work will be a touch late.
We all know the commute from Toronto can be hell.
Although, unlike work meetings I hope it brings pleasure in its tardiness.

 

Picked up a large (heavy AF) box at Canada Post this morning all the way from Surrey, BC. Had to drop it off at home unopened to tend to some Mother's Day festivities. Will report back on Monday with full analysis. But rest assured: the eagle has landed. Suspense is killing me further!

 

Was able to scurry away from work for a bit to get my box. I think it's from Whatup14? Some beers that I was probably too harsh on in previous reviews were included as well as some 'wants' that I honestly just can't afford in Gatineau.

Excellent selection with pics to follow.

 

They attempted delivery, but then 20 minutes later it was signed for... hopefully it arrived safely!

 

Yes it is! Hope you enjoy and you don't mind having those beers again. About that Solstice, it was a late addition to the box and I saw your rating after shipping. To my relief you said it was lovely with 3 years on it and hopefully it's a 2012.

Well, 7 days of travel with Canada Post and my box had made it 30 km from Hamilton to Mississauga. Not even the right direction!. Uuuuuuuungh. Delivery is still listed as the 10th, so hopefully not too much hop fade. Sorry, target!

 

Canada Post has been killing me recently. All sorts of problems with Xpresspost taking 3 days from Ottawa to Toronto then not delivering because it needed a signature (which I did not request), and my CANBIF box sat here for three days until it moved at all. Might finally be time to move to Fedex.

I think that means you sent to me . I was home sick so missed them knocking but ended up catching them at the community mail boxes! And so happy I did - what a killer box. All new beers, many new breweries and excited to try all of them.

My box just arrived in Richmond. Hopefully this means it will be delivered to my targets 3rd floor apartment by Wednesday at the latest.

 

My box is in Richmond as well. The delivery date has moved from Wednesday to Tuesday, but maybe it will show up today as Richmond is only 25 minutes from its target destination?

Update - the box is now in its destination town.

 

There's a clear lack of hints in this thread. I've narrowed it down to four persons, but couldn't guess which one is sending to me...

Agreed. I've been told someone in our beer group has figured mine out, but not based on hints, but based on the fact that they're the only one left who could be sending.
