BBA Expedition

The guy I was chatting with outside after getting my allotment was paying construction workers to get him. He drove 2.5 hours to get there and was picking up for friends, so I don't blame him

I think I need to stop reading this thread. The more I read about the bottles lasting until Saturday morning, the more I realize I should have just taken the leap and drove the 5 hour round trip for them. My SO kept asking me if we were going (she's a huge barrel-aged beer fan), but I didn't want to risk that long in the car and end up empty-handed. We were ready to leave as early as 2:30 Friday afternoon. Oh well. No hesitation the next time!

 

Well, at least the option was there for you. I mentioned making the drive to the wife and was shut down before I could even finish speaking, hah.

 

Agreed, in a perfect world. But so many people brought their significant others or coworkers for lunch and additional 4 packs. That's not really any different than paying homeless or construction workers is it? Both suck for anyone that got shut out, and it's so common I don't let it bother me but would never do it myself.

I dunno, seems like crossing a line when you're straight up giving money to strangers, but I agree that both are crappy. Also pretty much sums up why I only bother with ticketed releases these days.

 

Getting some in from a trade this week. Will report back on whether or not my expectations are met. Very excited about this release, as Expedition Stout is my favorite beer.

 

I am not a fan of Expedition stout. I will keep one bottle to try after six months in the cellar. I have one bottle left to trade.

 

I traded an old schwinn bike for one bottle. And, I may have got the better deal

 

Bumping this thread to see if any info has leaked out on the 2017 release. I saw on a couple sites that stalk label filings that a label for BA Expo was approved. If I recall it was released around this time last year. Any info on when it will drop this year or if it may see distro this time around?

 

Wait for info on FB, usually pops up the second someone sees it there. Make the drive after work and you'll get some.

 

You're lucky there's no BAESS. Otherwise no one would talk about it.

Sidebar: I was reading this thread for at least 3 minutes thinking "SHIT I MISSED IT AGAIN" before I realized that I was reading last year's release comments.

 

This thread pertains to my interet, for sure. Still have two bottles left from last year that I'm saving for the right time. I'd love to net another few four packs, and drop what I'm doing and make the three hour trip without hesitation.

 

I had to trade for it last year because an impromptu trip from Milwaukee to Bell's just is not in the cards for me. Trying to stay ahead of it this year. Lol

 

This would be a 8 hour round trip for me which feels crazy. Don't think I will be doing that.

I hope that this gets released Memorial Day weekend if we are going through at that time. Would be great timing.

If all else fails, hopefully they make more so the reported trade value from last year is very much lower.

 

Is there even going to be BBA Expedition stout this year? Is this a yearly release?
