I meant to say: 'Tis true I think I'd like to fight like the Romantic era. Fight, take a break, have some tea (though I'd prefer beer), and then resume fighting.

 

Yeah, that box was overwhelming. I mean, hell, a RARE "thrown in."

 

But I gotta ask @larryi86 ...What the hell? Why me? Such generosity. 2SP's Bourbon RIS....DAMN!!!
And are the Tea Time ESB brewed with Tea Leaves and The Crowing coffee stout home-brews?

 

You said you want to try 2SP The Russian when I reviewed and since I was able to get an extra of the Bourbon I decided to send it your way so you could try it yourself! The others are my own homebrews, the carbonation on the Tea Time has been a little on the active side when opening so make sure you have a glass ready, enjoy!

 

Dude, I will lovingly and carefully open that Tea Time with my brewing partner. Thanks SOOOO much. I look forward to all three. Very, very kind of you. I look forward to reciprocating.

Thank you! I'm truly humbled to be in the company of such a generous and passionate group of people and you sir are no exception. I've been away from the thread for a while as it's been several busy weeks here with physical therapy, doctors appointments, travel and a mountain of yard clean up. It was a very pleasant surprise coming home after a busy day!

In fact, a lot of beer! A giant thank you to @SammyJaxxxx for providing this awesome box of beer. As stated earlier, I'm humbled beyond words. All that for third place? I'm not worthy! I'll have a delicious challenge ahead the next couple of Sunday's trying some new beers that I've heard a lot about. I'm going to cheat and crack one tomorrow to ease the temptation to dive in. Once again, many thanks to you and to the fine BA's that deemed my box worthy enough to vote for. The NBS crew is the best!

Thanks man! Two killer boxes from @cavedave , one awesome ninja box from you, and now a medal winner from @SammyJaxxxx ? Like we need any further proof that this group is the best? I'm speechless and already preparing for the next round!

 

I'll be traveling from NY back to NH on Sunday, but should make it in time to post a few!

 

I knew the risk I ran in exchanging beers with @2beerdogs , the danger to my trunk's car and the future damage to my already vulnerable liver, but none of that prepared me for this dude's generosity. But what makes a good BA goes beyond hooking one up with a bunch of beer and this gentleman exemplifies all that is good in a good BA. Derek's a wealth of knowledge, a generous and welcoming host, an unpaid tour guide, and a cultured, well-lived and well-traveled cat.

Had a great day with him and thought I'd share some of what is just one more example of why this BIF has been off-the-charts awesome.

Flights at The Bruery alongside some excellent Tri-tip nachos (if you don't know about tri-tip, it should be your first order of business next CA trip), that's the man and the legend right there (Derek, not me, haha):

Thanks again to Derek and I'll just repeat these BIFs have been the gifts that keep on giving. It's not the beer, it's the people involved.
