enjoyed this speedway variant quite a bit..more so than the Hawaiian or Blue Mountain, and perhaps a tad below the Vietnamese

 

(last night, but) took a quick little drive to Astoria for my fills of Softly Spoken Magic Spells from Singlecut. These dudes are absolutely killing it right now, this batch is even better than the first. sorry about the shitty lighting, but you can still tell its a juice bomb.

Southern Prohibition Suzy Smash Dry Hopped Dirty Blonde Ale


Appears a hazy gold with bright white cap and good lacing. Aroma is fresh, clean, bright hops with intriguing layers of spice on floral. Some sweet malt peaking out.

The taste is an invitingly refreshing combination of light to medium malt as a center line with hops racing above and below yet all staying together. Really good effort here.

I suppose the brewers reference to dirty blonde is descriptive of the unfiltered haze of the brew, though it could refer to the woman in the graphics who looks like a divorce lawyer's repeat client, either way it fits. 5% means you can have more than one if you're driving, and the complex flavor makes a second almost a given.

 

Hahahaha. Have been there, with similar results.

 

Good morning! Trying another new TX brew - Cafe de Olla Porter, a Mexican style coffee porter, from Real Ale Brewing Co., Blanco, TX:



Very well balanced; roasted malt, coffee, cinnamon, bittersweet dark chocolate with a lite pepperiness. Lite bodied and flavors all working in harmony with one another. Everything I've had from this Brewer has been very good.

Good morning BAs! It's a beautiful sunny morning here in Grand Rapids, MI, after the cold and rainy drive yesterday. Mrs Lizard and I had dinner at Brewery Vivant, probably my favorite watering hole in Gd Rapids, as the signs say. My new breakfast beer today is:



Also picking up some brews for the next BIF as well!

 

Bought a case while at the brewery in Dec, stuffs awesome. I think I like it more than West Ashley. It's a little more tart and displays more fruit.

A nice cold Franzi, can't go wrong for the money. Do prefer their Hefe though.
