#VBS courtesy of @KyleDavis of Locals - this homebrew Cascarillo pale wheat that was the only good thing about a crappy and hot afternoon of yardwork. Speaking of Locals, seems like yesterday one of the most phenomenal bottle shares took place in Ohio. Been waiting for a money shot of all the empty bottles and it's not there yet, but the check-ins indicated some of the greatest line up of beers put together. Check the thread, but don't lurk for too long or they will get you.
Glad you enjoyed the beer, Bart! I literally brew that beer for post-yard work refreshments. Locals 2.0 was fantastic. We had tons of great beer, but none of it compared to the camaraderie and generosity of everyone in attendance.
Looks like my LIF has a winner! @beluga92 !!! closest guess of 3:20:30 ... 9min50sec off my finishing time of 3:30:20 [http://results.xacte.com/?kw=riteaid --- bib #1025], edging out the next closest guess by fortynine seconds! @beluga92 , i'll msg you to coord shipment, but i'm pretty sure i've already got your info =) [and just as an fyi datum: end training mileage was 701.5mi] ...tell ya what: that race sucked, but Cleveland was freakin awesome. temps in the high30s, hail, snow, freezing rain, then rain; with 15-20mph winds the whole time. torture, but mustered whatever i could to power through. ..then got to hang out and enjoy some local OH brews, havin a grand ol' time with my lady, and @Elkevjoe & his better half. much appreciated, and watch your porch for your bag back with some incoming brews =) cheers!
Haha, those check ins blew up my Untapped all weekend. Had the pleasure of hanging out with a bunch of them Thursday night before they carpooled to Ohio Friday morning.
Nice race @beatjunkee , I was thinking how tough the conditions were when I talked to my wife that morning and she said it was thundersnowing up there! Impressive, congrats..
3:30 is incredible. Clearly you do other things than just drink craft beer @beatjunkee, great work! For the next adventure, how about combining both activities through the beer mile race? One 400m lap, one beer x 4. Doesn't sound difficult until you do it...
Ugh, my buddy and I did that last year here in Philly. Except, it was sponsored by Pabst. Those 4 x Pabst went down slower and slower each 400m.
Nice time!! Like @BartS said, you clearly do other things than just sit around and drink!! Cheers to you! and Congrats @beatjunkee!
Here's the only money shot that matters. http://www.beeradvocate.com/communi...nd-hauls-thread.180634/page-1503#post-4770390
I got that #handshake tick from the marathon man @beatjunkee! It was nice meeting you and your GF! #VCS Con the IP ninja! Cheers
Let me know man! I had a trade setup for the good, bad, unidragon, but the dude totally bailed. Message me if you'd like, I'm really trying to get both the TX stouts!
