but the people who take days off to search for beer/wait in line for beer and spend money for that beer have better financial priorities? got it.

Sorry, I meant a quarter of what I make in an hour for 4 hours. It actually it works out to be a tenth of my daily salary plus the beer cost and I'd rather be at work then waiting on a line in Brooklyn.

That's also possibly not what he said. If he means hourly they make a quarter of what he does (not unreasonable at all at $24 an hour), four hours in line is half a day of work, or one eighth of his daily salary.

edit: Whoops, he beat me to it.

Also, can't wait for all these juicy IPAs!

you don't get it man, you are what's wrong with beer. you don't deserve the beer unless you get up and wait for it for hours, regardless of what makes the most logical sense in your life. the same people who will shit on you for using taskrabbit or whatever to get your (single) allocation will also probably bring their wives to get a second allocation for themselves, but you know, that's all good.

It was still on at 5 pm at the brewery today. I only had a sip but it's nice.

Somewhat related to this, who else saw the subway at Grand Central plastered with Task Rabbit ads?

Can we also add, why do adults (assuming we're all 21), get upset how other adults (not related to them) spend their time and/or money?

Same. I'll be in from Chicago this weekend for the release, with my fiance, who enjoys the beer as much I do. In my beer drinking circle, it's actually almost all couples, where some of the women are actually bigger fans than the men.

I don't know why anyone would think your SO is just a mule anyway. I can imagine even attempting this with my (Celiacs, so she won't be drinking any of it) girlfriend. "C'mon love it'll only be from 7am-1130 or so . . . " "LOL"

I'm not 100% sure but I think the guy is the mule in this scenario.

The whole scenario you just described sounds like the opposite of what you do to get someone into beer. Lol...

The wife can barely tolerate being in a distributor with me for more than 10 minutes (and she likes a lot of the beer I get)...you think she'd wait on ANY line with me? Bhahaha
