You do realize this is a public forum based on different peoples opinion of beer? I hope you don't read the reviews, they are nothing but opinions.

And why are "we" shouting to "shut this thread down"?! Because there's some differing of opinions? Terrible reason. We're all adults here, and it seems there's been an interesting conversation going here. All the better the actual fucking head of Jester King has contributed to, so why the "can we end this thread?" posts?

I wish I was able to get as much JK as you all do, even if some brews are not as good as others. Low and behold I'm living vicariously though others/many of you on many of these beers I'll never taste, but I enjoy the differing opinions on said beers. But anyway, this whole forum is based upon discussion, and that truly is what's been occurring (even the lesser posts have not been terribly offensive of off-topic), so let's keep it going.

(FWIW, hope to see Jeff in Iowa again this summer!)

    Agreed on the forum.
But why the bolded part? You have 41 trades. You could trade for the beers that have been mentioned: Simple Means, Multifarious, Feral Dampf, Bufords, etc.

If you would have quoted the last sentence of my post, Original Boxers left an imprint on my taste buds, I will never forget, that beer was amazing because of its subtleties the light lemon tartness just the right amount of oak almost zero carbonation( made it more drinkable). No fruit nor over the top hops made this beer great, it was nuance and subtleties. I would say foudreweizen aged in bourbon barrels would make me forget about the original Boxers.

Jester King beer is the real gateway beer. Give a wine drinker or non beer drinker a sip of Atrial and their mind is blown

In my experience, pretty much all of the first-fermentation fruit beers are too "sour" for non-beer drinkers (unless they were sour-heads to begin with). Wytchmaker and Mad Meg are usually hits, as have been Foudreweizen, Petit, and La Vie.

I'll be checking out JK tomorrow and really looking forward to it. Texas BBQ has lived up to its reputation so I hope the beers I taste will be just as fantastic!

I'll throw in a vote for Multifarious. Going to open a bottle of Buford soon, so I may have to change my mind.

Went out last night, weather was great, warm with barely a breeze, and a full TX hill country moon high in the sky.
Intersection and Cloudfeeder were pretty good, but Fantome del Ray surprised me and was my favorite of the three. It was the most nuanced and original of the three. All showed potential to improve IMO over the next 3-9 months.

Ill be picking up bottles of all of the recent collabs soon, and looking forward to trying them all - but the batch #1 (2014) of Figlet is drinking pretty good today. I wasnt a huge fan of it when it came out, but its hitting a sour note that I dont recall being there on first tasting.

The texture of Fantom del Rey was insane.

It really is. It looked so mesmerizing pouring it into my glass. Wonder what causes that, guess it's just a little more viscous?

Fantome is my favorite of the recent collabs, very interesting beer.

I believe Fantome del Rey is presenting a little ropy right now. Typically that comes from pediococcus bacteria. We actually just noticed this ourselves. The beer wasn't presenting this way during the bottle conditioning/maturation phase at the brewery, but now is apparently. -- Jeff

Appreciate the info. Still tasted delicious to me, and hope to pick up a few more bottles in the coming weeks.

Do you expect the texture to remain this way, or continue to evolve as the beer ages?

Any plans on a batch 2 of Coquetier? Missed that one the first time around, but got to taste it at the Super Bowl special event this year. Whoa, that was an amazing beer!
