    Saw this pop up today... Cool little article about homebrewers who are looking to open up shop in the pro scene in the coming months. Spotted a blurb about @bevoduz in here so thought I'd share!

    I know Chad's pretty active in the trade and BIF scene around here and shares quite a bit at events (I've had several at Bruegala and DLD) so it's pretty exciting to see him trying to make it a thing.

    I'll second this – Lil Beaver brews some fantastic beers! Seriously good adjunct stouts, in particular.

    Not sure if it's allowed so I won't post the link, but the Lil Beaver has a Kickstarter campaign going right now to help fund the venture. Pretty cool swag too! Already signed on for my Lifetime Dam Builders membership!

    The beers are great (Rye barrel liquid mounds bar in particular) but arrrrgh the name lol. It's just a small thing, but the beers I've tried so far are great.

    A name is just a name, but there's a lot of reasons behind this one. I actually planned on changing it when I set out to move past just Homebrewing and open the brewery, but the feedback I got from nearly everyone was keep the name, it works for you. Locally it's already fairly well known due to consist presence at the Bruegala Beer Festival, and though we have lots of support outside the area, let's face it, if it's not supported locally it ain't gonna make it!

    And while I'm posting links... who's that down near the bottom of the page of top homebrewers to watch as they open their own breweries?

    Gonna be a fun Chicago-Bloomington-St.Louis trip in my future, picking up my Dam Builder bottles and drinking all the beers!

    City zoning change to allow for a brewery with a taproom passed on Monday. We signed our lease and the space is ours starting tomorrow!

    Coming to Bruegala? We'll have a few beers pouring tomorrow in the special release tent. Will be around tonight as well but not pouring our own stuff, just the special releases. List looks good!
