@ Treebs - most of them are empty, a few are still full but I plan to drink them in the near future, so they would be empty before anyone received them

@ Mothergoose - I've been told by my friends that I have a "completionist" personality. I really can't argue with them, haha.

@ jegross - I'll set that aside for you, remind me that I have it for you next time you're in Madison.

I'll be in Madison Oct. 5 for the UofI/Badger game. Will you be around? I kind of want to do a tasting while in town Friday night.

Yes. Do not do any homebrewing within a 100 ft radius of this empty bottle collection.

Not really interested in the bottles...buuuuuut.....the labels.......these come off pretty easily....and I would certainly be interested in those!

I've had good luck removing Kuhnhenn labels with a hair drier. As Knifestyles notes, these are some of the easier ones to remove.

I typically just stare at the bottles sternly.....then the labels usually just fall right off.

Thanks for the hairdryer idea, I'm going to give that a try. A lot of the labels are already peeling off at the corners, but I figured they would tear if I tried peeling them off by hand. Warming up the glue underneath should help.

    What I do:

    1. Get an imperial pint glass (or any glass that will hold the bottle with the label just slightly under the rim)
    2. Fill the glass with warm water
    3. Fill the empty bottle with water
    4. Put the bottle in the glass so that the label is fully submerged
    5. Wait 10 minutes, the label will pretty much peel itself off
    6. Take the bottle out of the glass and slowly peel off the label if it hasn't already removed itself
    7. Lay flat on a paper towel "sticky" side up to allow it to dry
I do this with all of my Kuhnhenn bottles/labels and have had great results (with the exception of the "new" 4D/BB4D labels, of course).

The ink doesn't run or anything? I thought most of their labels were made on an inkjet printer

Nope. Surprisingly enough, the image quality is pretty much intact on just about every Kuhnhenn label that I've done this with (and I've got a stack about 2 inches tall).
