I've been to a few releases where they distributed wristbands. The only problem is they don't check to see you have one at checkout. I saw a 45 year old woman cut the line, grab full allotment and leave without anyone checking.

Has anyone ever had someone ask to see it?

But it still took you 4 hours to get some beer. Haha.

Yeah, I would love to try the all dank. That said a 4-5 hour for OH is nuts.

Does OH have a Mug Club? I've never noticed any option for that in all my visits.

Just one more reason we're spoiled in New Mexico, but all the breweries have memberships that give you discounts on pours and fills at the brewery. The membership always starts with a gift (bottle, growler and fill, glass, t-shirt, etc.) and pays for itself almost instantly.

To my thinking, OH could reward regulars and locals by giving them pre-access to sales or the option to buy before or after the release to skip lines.

That's on you buddy. Basically the wristbands make it easier to self-police the line. There is a guard by the entrance. If you said anything, she would have been checked and booted. Wish you had said something. Maybe next time.

It's on me, the patron, to make sure OH enforces their own policies? I can't tell if your post was serious or in jest. I hope the latter

Fairly smooth experience today, especially considering what a shitshow it was forecasted to be. My only complaint is relying on the two bathrooms at McDonalds for the hundreds of people waiting in line. Just doesn't seem practical. I wonder if they ever considered getting some port-a-pottys for release days. I'm sure everyone's bladders would appreciate it.

Because it's other halfs job to provide bathrooms for the madmen who decided to line up 6 hours before opening?

I pulled up at about 7:50 and the line was already back to the corner of Garnett and Court. I turned right around. I didn't think it would last that long, at least before they lower limits. Did anyone back there get any?

Just popped an ACE can and the onion smell is definitely there. Never noticed it before. Tasting great though.

Not their job, but it wouldn't be crazy. Treehouse does it.

There was a woman about that age in front of us - she was w/ her husband I think. They waited in line w. us for 3 hours and then she went up the front came back a few minutes later and pulled him out of line and they didn't come back. We all thought it was odd - I bet that was her/them. If it was - and you are reading this thread YOU SUCK.

On another topic two different cans ripped open on the way home w/ very little movement from different four packs and in different bags - one a backpack and the other an insulated cooler. Never had that happen before.

,-fastest movement of the line yet; whatever they did today, please, do it forever.
-first time since February I've awoke early to wait; I brought a chair and a friend--these two things made the line even more bearable (and some comics).
-I can understand people who refuse to wait on these lines. I stopped doing it for a few months. Today felt more like a fun experience. I wound up talking with three elderly gentlemen behind me and a couple, and a sweet woman in front of me.
-the guy who mention running around for the $7 Grimm can. I totally empathize with this. I missed out on the last couple Grimm releases. Yesterday I walked into Whole Food and there is Forcefield; I bought two, cracked one later that night, and, damn that's a good beer.
-it's a strange time for beer in NYC. Specifically OH and Grimm, I think. I hear a lot of anger and pleasure from the posters in this thread. These past six months I've felt the same (I ran around for Maple DNeg). I think it's just the nature of this beast. The impossibility of supply and demand; the frustration of missing out; the joy in planned and (especially) unplanned acquisitions.
I'm drinking Telectroscopic right now. It's good. I'm not sure it's wake up at 6:00AM, get on line at 7:00 good. I'll get up again at 6:00. Not this month or even next month, but I'll do it again.

First serious release for me.. Got up at 4:45 to leave from ~New Haven, CT. ~6:30 arrival, which got me about 90 feet around the first corner. Maybe 150th-175th in line?

Good times in line today, a few extra loud talkers and some cutters early on--I think I ended up in about six videos of the line. Very efficient work by the staff moving things along, though.

Bought 50 cans in the last three days between here and TH. Maybe I should have more than one?

I left around 11ish and there was still a pretty significant line (and a bunch of beer).

I guess someone is usually good about posting when things are gone, but I don't see it lasting too much later.

It does help though that limits were so low and I saw plenty grabbing 2-2-2.

And how about that manhattan F being down? Walking to Barclays for the 2/3 was my exercise for the day.

And and, telectroscopic is drinking nicely. I'm excited for it to mellow out over a few days.

You would have definitely gotten a wristband. Should have stuck it out.
