Mine wasn't. And in fact I think it's the best BCBS I've ever had.

likewise. this kind of strong ass comment is exactly why Goose Island is not giving refunds for "infected" regular BCBS.

this kind of strong ass comment also isn't good for member relations. we can't all be liberal arts majors. i encourage everybody to share as best they can - whatever that is absent insulting, offending or just be an obnoxious ass. it might not meet your standards but berating it/them doesn't do anything for anyone either.

    LOL

1 never said anything about asking/demanding/wanting/caring about a refund.
2 only pointed out the differences i noticed between two bottle dates. Sorry that was not acceptable to you. Feel free to assume whatever you would like about this post too.

I am not assuming anything. Sorry for being harsh in my other post, but so many people are opening bottles just hoping to find something wrong with them. You will have variations in the bottles, as there are different batches and different ABV's.

I'm currently drinking a 11/04/15, 0927, 14.3 ABV.. And it's wonderfully not infected. I have 2 more 2015 bottles which I'll crack open during the summer/early fall. Right now, I'm going to spend the next hour enjoying this one..

    Peace...

Opened a Prop bottled on 18 Oct and it is starting to turn. No way that I will drain pour, as it just tastes like a tart wine right now. Nowhere near bad as BW, and it is still decent. Definitely not up to standard for the overall BC Proprietor's line, which I have "drunk" early and often.

I have one more bottle, which I will prob just drink because I have no faith there will be any refund.

is GI dumping all their BCBS regular? In nebraska we just got a new shipment of it. The local good bottle shop had some, and then I spotted some at a local grocery store that doesnt even have a dedicated liquer section (most of the "big" hy-vee stores get the good beer, but this one does not). Wonder if other markets are seeing a re-release of BCBS.

Yep, a bunch was released last month here in Portland, OR. I was thinking it's the distributor who doesn't want to sit on it any longer. Sell it before it turns bad.

Which means I'll be seeing it at the local Rite aid in Newport about 8 weeks from now.

I'm afraid that this is what is going on. Please report what price is being asked. Thanks.

Stop aging BA beers. Mine tasted great fresh. You took the risk, except the Consequence's.

I would not say that drinking a BA Stout that says "develops in the bottle for up to 5 years" a few months after release (when the reports of problems for regular BCBS surfaced) is "aging BA beers".

Message to Goose Island/In Bev: own up to your problem and provide some REAL customer service to those affected.

    Cheers!

Aging anything regardless of what the bottle says. You are taking a risk. There is no arguiment to that.
