What are your favorite Wheat Ales? They are my personal favorite, and one of my favorite summer brews, the SA Summer Ale is one. I really enjoy this style. Does anyone have suggestions on good Wheat ales?

Hoegaarden is widely available, well-priced, and very good

    Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier is my favorite.

    I also enjoy Duclaw Sawtooth.

St. Bernardus Wit is another great one.

Weihenstephaner is definitely on that list.
Boulevard unfiltered wheat is a personal favorite of mine, I don't care for 80 acre personally but many people like that one as well.

Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier is at the very top of that list. Right now I'm loving Fortunate Islands from Modern Times.

Gumballhead and Little Sumpin' Sumpin' are my go-to wheat ales. Cheers!

Define "Wheat Ales," if you will. I can't put Bavarian Hefeweizen in the same category as Goose Island 312.

If we're specifically talking American Pale Wheat Ale, Bell's Oberon -- hands down.

Oberon is my go to. So refreshing and good on a hot day.

Plus one for Lil' Sumpin Sumpin and Boulevard's Unfiltered Wheat. Also, Boulevard's 80 Acre is delicious as well.

Honorable mention: the Hefeweizen I just brewed.:sunglasses:

Refreshing and so delicious. Oberon defines why I like "seasonals." Hey, Oberon is back -- summer's coming, I haven't had this since last year -- holy s@*t is this good! If it was available year-round I'm sure it would become mundane.

Funny you would say that as they now produce Oberon year-round...

    ...for Arizona & California. :stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue:

American Pale Wheat Ales -- Karbach's Staycation, Revolver's Blood & Honey are my favorites; New Belgium's Snapshot is decent

If you're meaning any ale with wheat in it as a "Wheat Ale", then put weizenbocks on my list of favorite wheat styles and give me Schneider Weisse's Tap 6 Aventinus and Erdinger Weissbier Pikantus as my favorites in that style.

Ive always been a fan of Unibroue Blanche de Chambly, for the style. Obviously Oberon is up there too.

I love the big German hefeweizen brands: Weihenstephaner, Spaten, Schneider, and all the Bavarian wheat bocks too. Domestically speaking Boulevard and Sierra Nevada make my favorites, especially since they are widely distributed.

Oberon, Arcadia's Whitsun, and Gumballhead if I can get my hands on it.

I love a Little Sumpin' Sumpin' if you want something that straddles the line between wheat beer and IPA.
Odell Easy Street Wheat is a nice easy drinking American pale wheat beer.
But the Germans are the masters of wheat beers. Seek out a fresh hefeweizen, dunkelweizen, or weizenbock from an authentic German brewery and you'll be in good hands. My all time favorite "wheat beer" might be Schneider Aventitus Weizen Eisbock.

If you like SA summer, youd like 312 Urban Wheat by Goose Island. And grateful white by rivertowne.
