Show us your broken glassware

I ALWAYS hand wash my glasses. My just-home-from-college-daughter favors awkwardly stacking the dishwasher for all her glassware cleaning needs. I know my glass pales to your beautiful Tree House glass but it served many a nice beer in it's lifetime.

 

I have 2 cats...this page wouldn't load if I took pics of all the damaged glasses and posted.

Thanks for dredging up old, rotten memories. I was cleaning this, my Golden Relic, when l decided to move over to a fluffier, gentler carpet to hand-dry it over before l placed it upon a new GABF Shelf Of Honor, when it broke in my hand, just like that...here's my awful attempt at resurrection. I got depressed about my whole project (an onging beer-wall-museum-thing) and put it aside for the last four months. Then zekeman17 sent me a Billy Beer, Robin Hood Cream Ale Can and numerous caps last week, and all is well. Beer Wall update soon...

 

Lost a Lagunitas mason jar glass recently. Don't know how-thought those things were nigh well indestructible ... Until I set it down at just the wrong angle with just a little too much force.

 

Lost my favorite IPA glass to over aggressive towel drying

 

I don't have pics, but my wife has been on an ("accidental") glass smashing spree lately. First it was the pint glass I got from the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2008 and then an Innis & Gunn stemmed glass. All it means is I get to buy new glassware!

 

Twas a sad day.

 

I didn't think cats could be any worse.. Turns out, they can.

Knocked it off the end table this morning cleaning up. Happy Thanksgiving!

 

I (and my wife) have 4 cats. I've learned the hard way to stop buying crystal or those thin Spieglau glasses... Only thick glass and hard plastic for me now!

 

Those Spieglau IPA glasses are surprisingly fragile. I just gripped mine by the rim today while washing and it cracked.

 

Ouch...That's a tough loss. One of my favorites in my collection. Hope you find a replacement.

 

I've lost twin drinking buddies, we shared many great beers together
Both were fragile and the death blow to each was minor, I'll miss 'em
