For most distributors, it depends on the usual delivery day for the store. Ask your shop of choice when Advintage typically delivers to them.

CRAP! I was halfway there and turned around and went home when I saw the FB announcement.:angry::angry:

Maybe they want folks to come to the brewery for more than just a once a year beer release?

Maybe. I go there when I can and buy a LOT of WB throughout the year. I was just frustrated that I had to fight rush hour Charleston traffic for nothing. I get that things change 'on the fly', so I won't criticize WB for making a last-minute decision in bringing out more bottles.

We don't have enough trucks to deliver the entire state on the same day, so most likely your usual delivery day, but not before 5/31 unless something changes- I am flying to California tomorrow so I think I will have to work on my allocations while sipping on some Russian River at the brewery

Agree that is the #1 priority. Not sure but I thought people could handle multiple priorities at once and delegate out other priorities to the staff if too busy making good beer. Updating their Facebook page with accurate information is so difficult but I think they can handle that task since they use it as one of their ways of updating their customers with CURRENT info.

Agreed. The cases in Atlanta were dated several months ago, and the bottle's best by date was in like three days. Someone dropped the ball getting those out the door.

It was terrible. Probably the worst beer I have had in a year or more.

Any chance local CHS shops get it in this weekend?

If release date is 5/31, how would that be possible? Also, distributors don't work weekends or make deliveries on weekends unless on a rare occasion due to weather closing them for a day in the week.

Well I will be in Charleston this weekend so I DEMAND that they release it early JUST for ME!

As a footnote to this whole thing, one of the guys who did the BASC release/bottle share with me Fri/Sat decided to make the 4 hour drive down yesterday with his wife to see if they could get any MC after all. They were in line outside by shortly after 3:00.

He was disappointed to hear about the the FB post made 15 minutes before opening that they were sold out, but was going to at least get some on draft and some other things while he was there.

When WB indeed started selling, they went ahead and made the nine hour round trip worth their while by getting back in line three more times each (along with some of the other folks that were there)... so they ended up getting 32 bottles.

He was kind enough to offer 8 of them to me... so now I have my other buddy in Detroit covered for a couple bottles, I get a couple and I have a few left over for shares & gifts.

So in the end they updated their web-site (which was all I had asked them to do back in March) and I managed to get some anyway despite my schedule not allowing me to get down there on short notice this year.

Funny how some folks opinions of the entire circumstance change when they are able to scored a bunch of bottles from a hoarding friend.

I cannot fathom expending that much time and thought on worrying a brewery to change something on their website that pertains to a non-barrel-aged adjunct stout that is produced annually and sees distro across 5 different states. I long for a day when my life is so carefree that these are the types of things I will concern myself with.

Or, you know, when the brewery actually does what the person asked them to do in the first place and update their FAQ. Yeah, probably doesn't have anything at all to do with that.

Is that the long version of 'Its just beer, bro'? Cool story.

Hell, I've spent more than 9 hours judging at beer competitions on a single day. And I didn't walk home with bottles of anything other than a bottle of the host breweries shelf beer. I must really need to examine my priorities.
