You guys are making this sound more and more enticing. A What the Funk with zero crowd and all of the beer? Gotta say, that'd be one helluva fest!

I'm out. Nothing to do with WTF last year specifically, but the complete lack of any sort of an even an acknowledgement that it did not work out as they had hoped left a sour taste in my mouth. I go to Denver every year to visit friends. The past 4 years has been during GABF week.

I'm thinking this year I may stagger it and go a different week, too much good, local, readily available beer to check out.

If I do go again during GABF week, I'll spend my money a 1-2 nice brewery dinner events instead.

Mike is voting with his nuts. You can't really top that.

Even if they fix everything, I highly doubt this event could hold a candle to Rare Beer

Probably go the week after GABF and get some leftover tap goodies :sunglasses:

Can everyone just calm down with talking up/hyping Rare Beer until I get my ticket. I think it is finally the year for me to transition from WtF to Rare Beer and I want to get a ticket with only reasonable effort. I had an amazing time @ WtF in 2014 & probably as equally as bad of a time @ WtF in 2015 (after the majority of the GA attendees got into the venue). I'll probably stick with Avery SourFest and see many of you @ Rare Beer.

Can I just drive you and your brother around all night again? That was the best part of GABF 2015

Last year was a mess. Any idea of when it might occur this year?

October 4th. It's going to be back the Exdo Center. CS is hosting with Shelton Brothers. I betting that all the issues from last year will be resolved.

Where's the info on this? I imagine with it being that early in the week, won't be anywhere near as crazy and will be mostly locals?

Why would you bet that, and how much? :stuck_out_tongue:

That was a well run event two years ago. Wish there was more floor space, but as long as they don't oversell the fest, should run smoothly again.

The one at Exdo was the best of the three. Year 1 was a little crowded and hard to navigate, but it worked out OK, especially because you could get to some of the best tables without any of the crowd since they weren't right in that middle area. The 2nd one at Exdo was great, a good space, plenty of room, the lines weren't piled on top of each other, etc. I don't know if I'll pony up the dough ahead of time and hope for the best after last year though.

I hope it's the best WTF ever and that it recovers just like GABF did...but I'm still skipping this one.
GABF week is still an epic occurrence when you don't hit any events so I don't mind missing out on one.
Hell, my liver and my wallet will probably thank me for it. If they rebound, I'll rethink it next year.

Just off the top of my head, one way it could possibly be worse than '15 might be all the punches in the nuts. I mean logically no matter how bad "Event X" is, it's got to be less bad than "Event X plus a few hundred nut-punches." I think this has a name, one I should have learned in high-school math, maybe even 9th grade, but fuck if I can remember what it is. "That X must be less than x + 1, because blah blah blah, is known as the ______________ property." Descartes or Archimedes or Pythagoras came up with it I'm pretty sure.

Ouch. October 4 would put it out of my reach since I'm coming from out of town. Which is too bad for me, because the event was likely going to be better (for me at least) if for no other reason than that I was going to get to punch some dude in the nuts.

I'll change my flight to a day earlier to go to this. Anyone know when tickets go on sale?

The first act of them "correcting things" would be to announce it before GABF tickets go on sale, which is August 2nd and 3rd. They better get a move on...
