Bottle Logic did a wonderful job with the tasting event. The food was great. Looked to be prepared by the chef that is doing the FO dinner. Fundamental Forces in a take home glass was a nice surprise. My favorite bourbon is Four Roses so I was expecting to like that one the most. It was too spicy and clashed with the vanilla. After blending it with a sweeter bourbon like Buffalo Trace and Heaven Hill, it was incredible. I actually didn't like the 1:1:1:1 ratio that I made, so I'm wondering if that will be the ratio for the final blend or if there will be more taste testing.

 

I'm wondering if they will be doing a survey or something with us, or the final blend is already decided. Either way I hope we'll get to know what it is.

Does any one know what the dinner ran last year? I am trying to decide if the dinner will be the best solution for me this year. I have heard the max is 2 cases...I assume that's 12 bottles.

 

There were 43 tickets available at $75 a piece. They haven't announced the cost or count for this years dinner, but they did say it's max 1 case(12 bottles) per person

 

That's the stupidest combination I've ever heard in my life! That's the kind of thing an idiot would have on his luggage!

 

Looks like Fundamental Forces and FO 2016 will be on tap at the OC Brewers Guild fest. Line for days and days, although I guess it means less people at the other stations?

Breweries have just been posting what they'll be serving on social media. Nothing up with a full taplist as far as I know.

 

Leche Borracho has made its way up to the Ventura County area, just grabbed one from Bottle and Pint in Newbury Park—limit one per person.

While I was up there I also got some juicy beer bro gossip. Apparently our favorite person to be banned by BL made a great stink at Bottle and Pint when he couldn't buy a bottle of Leche. The employee didn't want to sell it before being given permission and he just caused them a lot of grief. They're not a fan of him talking smack about how they have dirty glasses and lines, obviously in addition to being an all around ass.

 

I hear they banned him last week at the Henny Penny Package Store in Peoria, IL permanently for being an overall buttsniffer.

 

I have no idea who you guys are talking about, but you have to be quite uber mega douchenozzle to get banned by multiple beer spots.
