I'll trade you a sixer of Bubbler for each of your Vintage bottles.

I'll be out there next weekend and was curious if Cran-Bic or any other thumbprints were still available. I wanted to put an in-person trade thread together but if I'll be able to buy that one then I won't include it.

You should be able to pick up Cran-Bic and the thumbprints at any liquor store or the depot, no need to trade.

Or gas station, grocery store, home improvement store, bait shop, golf cart dealerships, and any church. New Glarus is ubiquitous in WI.

I would be more specific on which thumbprints you're looking for. if cranbic or oud bruin, you'll be fine. But if it's older stuff, I wouldn't get your hopes up, IMO

    Edit: location dependent

I was able to purchase Cranbic, Oud Bruin, and Apple Ale at a gas station last weekend.

The Thumbprint Milk Stout is still all over the northern part of the State, as well.

The New Glarus Thumbprint logo is actually a secret map showing where you can find said beers. You'll have to look closely though to figure it out. :sunglasses:

So this R&D Vintage release next weekend...what time do you all think we need to be there to secure some. Is it a wait in line and sell out if you arent there by 4am type of thing? I havent been to one before

Last year I was able to head over after lunch without issue on the Friday. Probably depends how many sad souls show up with multiple changes of clothes to get more than they need...

If the past is any indicator, as long as there isn't fruit involved (and very possibly even if there is) you'll be fine as long as you show up by mid-day or so. And this year there'll be even more available per day because they've cut the releases from three days down to two.

Show up before 11:00am and you should be good to go. With the switch from three days of release to two this should last for a decent portion of the day.

I can't imagine the bottle count decreasing, and they knocked a whole day off their release from last year. With that, non-great taste releases should be pretty relaxed and there shouldn't be a need to get there stupid early.

That would be good. Last year I ran into a couple people at some Madison tap takeovers who would boast about how many bottles they got of whatever. The worst offender I overheard was a guy who claimed to have 16 of the 2014 vintage...just kept getting back into line for multiple days.

I never got in line last year, and still got all three releases. Just to reinforce the rest that are saying there's no need to get there super early. If I remember right at least 2-3 of the 4 actually made it past the release weekend. Thinking the only one that didn't was BBBB.
