My time overseas is coming to an end, and since there are beers here that are more readily available and less expensive; I want to take some back with me. The issue is that my stuff will end up in storage for 6-9 months while we look for and close on a house. Sadly this means that some of my favorite beers will not stand up to that storage time (Brauhaus Castel is one of my favorites). I am looking for any suggestions as to which beers available in Germany and Belgium could be stored for that amount of time. Belgian Tripels and Quads have become the beers I search for most often.

Grab a few Eisbocks in Germany. Those should last approximately until the earth is swallowed up by the sun.

Belgium ales that are bottle conditioned last years if stored below 80 degrees. However Unibroue makes great Belgium triples and strong dark ales widely distributed in U.S. for less than $12 a four pack.

I do not have these but my best guess is that Black Albert and Black Damnation will hold up unless stored well above room temp.
