    Man, that's tough. Home for two years after college, then moving across the country for a graduate degree. I imagine that concept will take some getting used to. My kids are scattered all over the place and I'm still coming to terms with that.

    Onto Crate Day entry #2, with another VA brew Stingo, by Strangeways:

    Having it with a couple of "strange" dudes. Following this up with Jimi - ... And the Gods Made Love is a little strange also. Only Steely Dan vinyl I have (though I have all their earlier CDs). Look at that "Special Thanks" list; I think you and I are on it :rolling_eyes::astonished:.

    Onto the beer. I have always liked this brew, although my last go 'round with it, I wasn't impressed. This bottle is freakin' awesome though. It's a red wine barrel aged beer, and the wine/grape and light tanins come out in the beer nicely. They play well with the dark, alcohol-tinged old ale and woody notes to make a very impressive beer to me. Price is in the steeper end, but I may have to grab another if my place still has some (they did this past week).

    Edit: on to Voodoo Chile - the non-slight return version. A very jammy song with Jimi and a young Steve Winwood on the electric organ. Can't find a video worth posting, but there is an interesting spoken word description of the song on YouTube as a top hit in the searches:
