    The festival ended at 5:00 so that ended the draft beer for the afternoon (not for the night, though--headed to the bar in an hour). This beer will have to do in the meantime.

    A glass of 18th Street Under Crown with a killer bacon cheeseburger complete with egg and sausage gravy. I have a short memory, seriously the diet starts next week! :wink: I'm hoping to join crate day a little later if my tired ass doesn't fall asleep.

    Happy three day weekend BAs! Described as a BSDA on this site but to me seems much more like a Quad. Going to enjoy this in the comforts of the AC inside, way too hot outside! Cheers!

    I pulled this beer from the fridge and went to put on this record and then in got really dark in SW Connecticut.

    New beer Saturday, Weihenstephaner Pilsner, 5.1% ABV, 32 IBU. Pours thin and pale yellow with 1.5 fingers of foam which dissipated quickly leaving slight lacing. Nose is yeasty, taste is not as yeasty as their Hefe Weissbier, a bit tangy, a bit low on carbonation, no bitterness. OK mouthfeel. Overall an excellent Pilsner. Figured I'd try this since their Hefe Weissbier is one of my all-time favorites. While I don't like this quite as much, it is excellent. Perhaps a good craft gateway beer for your macro-drinking guests.
