Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! I did a 50 mile bike ride yesterday morning, looking to do something similar today. Glad the weather cleared up for this weekend. They had originally forcasted thunderstorms all weekend earlier in the week, but I haven't seen a drop of rain at all yet. Pre-ride fuel:

Always fantastic, just got a fresh 6 pack last night. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, passion fruit, berry, lemon/orange zest, and light pine; with moderate caramel/toasted bread malts. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness; balanced hop stickiness and bready creaminess in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing dryness; zero astringency. Super juicy on hops thanks to the malt backbone, but never overly sweet. Definitely a go-to IPA favorite now.


Still tasting fantastic after 14 months. Flavors of big caramel, honey, toffee, biscuit, butterscotch, vanilla, raisin, apricot, apple, bourbon, and toasted oak. Fair amount of spicy bourbon/oak and earthy hop bitterness. Full body creamy mouthfeel with light slickness. Bit of dryness from the bourbon/oak spiciness as well. Very smooth sipper, lightly warming finish. Still have a few left, and glad I do.


Tasting amazing after 15 months as expected. Flavors of big chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, toffee, brown sugar, molasses, bourbon, and toasted oak; with some light raisin/fig fruits. Light carbonation, with a full bodied creamy/silky mouthfeel. Lightly warming, and super smooth sipping. There is still a a lot of coffee flavor going on here; with perfect balance of the bourbon and roasted malt flavors. I still think fresher is the best, but still holds up extremely well for a few years too. Insanely good.

Good morning BAs! A cool foggy day here in NW PA following last night's thunderstorms - supposed to be up into the eighties again today. Today's breakfast beer:



Definitely mango and definitely habanero - well balanced and drinkable - pleasantly surprising! Now I see why we went through it so fast at last week's beer fest.

 

Some West Coast hop juice for breakfast then mowing the lawn before the thermometer hits 90

I still can't figure out what's behind the signature Tree House taste. I'm getting the mosaic, but there's a wholesome, smooth flavor that's consistent between all the TH brews I've had (julius, sap, bright, curiosity 26).

Good morning BAs. It looks like it's going to be a beautiful sunny day in the 80s here. I just lit some charcoal to get the grill going again. Today's project is a hickory smoked chuck roast. I'm guessing this will take 8-10 hours of low and slow. While the coals are heating I'm finishing a BBA Plead the 5th I started last night.
