just bought a Sump (regular) and it was bottles January 2016. Read the decay that says to drink within 60 days?? Who can say how accurate that is? Was planning on sitting on it for a short while, but will drink sooner if it'll be better.

I doubt the brewery lists the 60 day window on the label for shits & giggles. Coffee beers are at their peak fresh. Nothing new here. Not much you can do at this point save getting a refund at your bottle shop possibly. Alternatively, drink it as soon as you can. Good luck.

60 days? Ballast Point can't even get their beers to shelves in 60 days.

    You fine. Drink and enjoy.

It hit Colorado well after the 60 day period.

It was still very coffee forward.

However, Sump isn't a coffee-bomb/ only has coffee flavor. It is very balanced as an imperial stout in general.

    I say yes to aging.

It's Sump.. I'd drink it out of a old shoe.

I just drank a 13' Sump, Abraxas and 17 from a random "unannounced" cellar release at my local store and the Sump was still delightful. I'll second that it's the best coffee stout I've ever had.

Sump is an amazing coffee-bomb when fresh. That being said, if cellared, it becomes an amazing, coffee-forward imperial stout. It should still have a ton of coffee. The oldest I have tried was ~18 months and it was still amazing.
