CW BBBW Infection Issues?

    Anyone else noticing that CW BBBW has an off taste? The last 3 or 4 have been drain pours for me, really sour and bitter. Not much bourbon character at all. All stored in the cellar at 55 degrees out of direct light. Not sure what to make of it.

    Haskells Chan and Vintage Chan. Stored out on a floor display at Haskells and had just come in off the truck at Vintage.

    Tbone and BottleCaps, thank you for the helpful contributions! Just a question dudes, something I noticed on consecutive bottles and thought I'd ask if anyone else noticed. Not trying to start a BCBS thread here. Relax.

    From my experience, CW has been very interested and responsive when it comes to quality issues. I recommend sending an e-mail to them, with as much information as you can in regards to the bottles in question. I'll have one of mine tonight, you know, for science.

    Drink my body weight in BBBW every year. I've been drinking them steadily since the release, no issue here.

    I wish people would stop creating threads like this, if you think something is infected, contact the brewery, give them a chance to investigate first, rather than starting a random thread, based on one person's anecdotal experience, filled with a lack of information, evidence, etc. that can give bad press/cause people to freak out for no reason.

    What information or evidence would you like me to provide? I'm happy to give it you for further analysis. This is beer dude, not clinical research. Listen, I started a thread with a simple question to see if anyone was experiencing a similar off taste. I don't think my thread in the Midwest forum is making headlines nor causing people to freak out and I'm sure CW couldn't care less about this thread. They're doing just fine..... No body freaking out here, most everyone is saying that they have no issues.

    FYI I just opened bottle #5 and it was a gusher. Something is up with the bottles I have at least. I've contacted the brewery per your initial helpful advice. I'll post the response once I get one. Not sure why you changed your tune from your initial post, I'm just looking for some advice man.

    So there's this thread, where a guy is finding some issues with his beer, and he wanted to know if anybody else had similar experiences with this beer. Despite the completely douchey nature of his thread, I was somehow able to not lose my mind.
    But if I had, Mr. Yells-fire-in-a-crowded-theater, you'd be on the list. :astonished:

    If you replace the "CW" with "15" and the second "B" with a "C" then this thread makes sooooo much more sense...
