What do you mean, the dinner price was $40? That isn't so bad

I've been trying to convince a buddy to fly out if we can grab tickets haha, not sure it's going to happen.

Well if anyone ends up with tickets and is looking to share a case, Id be more than happy to send some east coast stuff & cover costs.

$140 for 6 course pairing giving you roughly 2.5hours to eat and enjoy....

It makes the 8-9 course pairings down here at Abnormal and Toro for $80-90ish seem tame.

Ouch. . . Makes me want to ask how many Michelin stars this event has.

That's a pretty rough price. I was willing to shell out $80 or so, but $140 is really, really rough. Will probably skip this.

Yeah, those are definitely getting close to 3* michelin prices. Never had FO, so maybe it's worth it, who knows.

Yeah, but I think that menu was more small bites. It sounds like they're trying to do a more robust menu with food pairing. In my experience, a full on 6 course meal at a nice restaurant can range from $60-120+ depending on the caliber of restaurant. I'm not even talking about Michelin star restaurants.

Edit: my point is that yes, it's really pricey and probably not worth $140 in itself but it's supposed to be a nice dinner this time and you also get the opportunity to buy a full case of highly sought after bottles. That's got to be worth something.

Didn't realize you had the ability to buy a whole case of bottles (I need to RTFM), that changes the value equation a lot.

Whole case plus the 3 from eventbrite and an extra one from week of logic would be crazy amounts of FO.

Any estimate on bottle price? I'm guessing 23-25$ a bottle?

For $140 a pop (280+sire fee with wife) they better toss in some bottles of FO. Good for BL if they're able to sell out both dinners, not going to be mad at them for making money, but yeah that's a pass for me too.

The ability to buy, though. Pay a crazy amount for a dinner so that I'm allowed to pay 300 bucks to buy a case? That's a lot of money.
For us regular folk. I guess if you're going to sell them on the side, it could be worth it. Not my thing though.

Again, it's worth what people are willing to pay.
