If you asked me this two years ago or even a year ago I would say not many. But I think things have gotten crazy and when places set limits like that I think more people feel the need to buy all they can. People have a weird arrogance about them when they walk past a line of people waiting for beer with cases and cases. You see it at Other Half, people bring their mules walk out with their little cart stacked with cases and smug look on their face.

Never underestimate the tenacity of the beer geek. I am waiting for a Saturday release in the future where Other Half does a collab with Hill Farmstead while Threes does a collab with Trillium and the lines out of OH and Threes converge somewhere on 4th avenue!

I got there at 3:30 and there was no line at all and only a handful of people came after in the time it took me to drink a beer.

Am I the only one who can't afford to max out at these releases? It's not like any of these beers are cheap. Also, who wants a fridge full of the same beer anyway?

I dunno, I was a lot happier a few weeks ago when I had to cram a case of Congress Street bottles in my fridge than I am today, now that I have a solitary bottle surrounded by mostly inferior brews.

I think a lot of people who line up for these releases are trading/ sharing with friends.

Edit : here now, handful of people milling about at coffee shop waiting for open. Not crazy.

Another proof of the theory, "Can it. Brewery only. People will line up."

Very smooth, less than 40-50 people bought since open. Most getting significantly less than max.

In and out in 10 minutes. They even had pitchers of free beer for those waiting in the lobby before they opened.

Was amazing on draft, my favorite Threes IPA. Prob my favorite NYC regular IPA.

Hope the canning process went well.

Pretty sure under this scenario breweries could do double dry hopped urine and get people to line up.

Day of the Dead is fucking good. I prefer it to Dreamweapon and Forcefield for sure.

It's alright. You can taste the pineapple. Better than most Threes, but nothing like most Grimm, OH, and Singlecut. I'm only interested for the sake of variety.
