    I didn't push it because he hinted that he might not be able to afford it. And that's where the conversation stopped.

    You are being very generous. Why do people use other people's computers as a base for their account activity? And how do you no longer have access to an email account? I hope he comes through and sends you something.

    Regardless, kudos to you @alexk307. Protecting the community by calling him out, but being gracious with the perpetrator to your own detriment. I like your style bud.

    It's all BS. SOP for folks who welch on their trades or BA obligations. Come up with a litany of excuses, etc. His buddy got the address and it slipped his mind as well. Right. He has the beers so he just needs to ship them. OP, I think you should still give him your address imo.

    Yeah, I completely agree, but I'd much rather him be able to pay his rent over me drinking a few beers. Luckily I won a ton of beers and it's not a big deal to miss out on one. I'll shoot him my address and see what happens. Regardless, just want it to be known to be aware of this dude.

    Internet costs $$ as well. Maybe removing him from BA would be a good thing. Won't need the internet anymore, saves him some $$, and he can pay rent more easily. Win-win in my book.

    Maybe they are excuses, maybe it's the truth. Either way he didn't follow through on his end of the deal, doesn't remember his log in info, and doesn't have that email address anymore. Like dmb said, he should be removed from BA.

    I don't see the downside of banning the username here. He claims he cannot access his account right banning it would prevent it from being hacked and misused more than it already has been.

    @alexk307 any updates on this?

    Not remembering your login, being auto-logged from someone else's computer *and* not having access to the email that you signed up with. I call shenanigans.

    While I wouldn't make a regular practice of doing so, if there were a pending situation, like, say, you owed someone a box of beer, you can always email [email protected] for more help. It's not so difficult.

    Also folks, get an email and phone number whenever you set up a trade. That avoids this kind of situation. If people are hesitant to give it out, use that information in deciding if you want to trade with them.

    No updates. Not pushing on this anymore, if he wants to own up to his duties then great, but I'm not expecting a box to show up. I would be OK with banning his account for sure.

    We weren't trading, it was for a football BIF.

    In some ways that almost feels slimier (thats a word right? like slimy, but... -er) 's me. A thought process similar to, "well, this isn't really a trade and I might be able to screw someone over without consequence"

    I agree. I was just responding to @F2brewers' point about getting an email first.

    I've only participated in a few BIF, (though none of them were fantasy league sports stuff). In all of those, I was asked to provide my name, address, phone # & email. Isn't this standard? If not, it should be.

    @Todd Can we retire this BA's account. He hasn't been on in over (3) months and it doesn't appear he will be fulfilling his obligation anytime soon.
