Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! We got a lot of rain last night, supposed to get more this afternoon.

Incredible gose as always, Glad I bought 2 more 4 packs last week. Flavors of big tart cherry, lemon, lime, green apple, wheat, cracker, coriander, sea salt, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice sized fruity/acidic sour finish; balanced cherry/lacto acidity with salinity and light malty sweetness in the mouthfeel. Highly drinkable despite higher acidity. I wish this was year round. So much fantastic sour cherry flavor for the low ABV.

Incredible brown ale. Definitely one of my all time favorites. Flavors of big caramel, toffee, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, chocolate, light vanilla/dark fruit, and herbal hops. Light herbal/roast bitterness on the finish; medium bodied creamy/silky, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel. Highly complex and a fantastic example of the style. More English than American on the style spectrum, IMO.

Always fantastic IPA, been buying this more often lately. Bright hop flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with some light honey/biscuity malt balance and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine/rind bitterness; sticky/resinous finish with slight malt creaminess in the mouthfeel. Good dryness with zero hop astringency. A true IPA classic, fantastic Centennial/Chinook hop character.

Incredible stuff!! Flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toasted dark bread, and light nutty/charred malts; with balanced grapefruit, orange peel, pine, and floral hops. Medium roast and pine bitterness; great creamy mouthfeel with a fair amount of hop stickiness and slight roast chalkiness. Lightly drying. Just as amazing as I remember when I reviewed it 3 years ago! At release this is a straight up Black IPA, which is how I reviewed it. Now, it is a bit more toned down; but still has plenty of C hop character going on, with great robust malt complexity. Glad I grabbed another bottle in Ohio. Will have to get more this coming December.

    Good morning,

Last nights work has warranted these beers after taking a taping knife to the eye, and missing my eyeball by 3/8 of an inch. But its all clean, no stitches and im good to go. I feel lucky to still have my eye. Ill spare the details but i thought originally, i was going to lose it because of the location of the hit. I had it caught and pulled it toward me hard and well, it had some impact. Happy to be home and relaxing now.

Good Morning BA land. Starting off with Beer (obviously). Maybe I should have had a coffee to go along with the Cream?.

Oh has that beer eluded me. Odd question...did you find it in the "craft" section or by the PBR?

Funny you should ask, to be honest. I came across it (fresh!) at a tiny gas station off I-95 in central VA. All they carried were standard MBC 24pks & the like. It didn't even ring up :stuck_out_tongue:
Pretty sure they got it by mistake

The Duvel Council of Strong Blondes are about to meet and figure out what the hell happened yesterday on the 666th Annual Drink With The Duvel Day. Then they will tabulate, collate, bend and staple the final tally and announce the winners later this afternoon. That's the plan anyway.

Alright, BA's! Now around 8 here in NOVA & I'm getting into the heavy stuff while the GF is still asleep (Shhhh, don't wake her up ) Onto this:

Grabbed the last can at my local shop. Nice roasty character, almost burnt actually. Dangerously easy-drinking at 13%, too. All-in-all, I'm quite happy with it :-)

Good morning BAs! Another overcast day here in NW PA - some heavy rains last night but not really unusual for spring/summer/fall around here. At least it's warm enough to be comfortable. Mrs. Lizard returns from another quilting adventure this AM - got to put away the stuff I was sorting in the living room last night before she arrives and still have one aquarium to clean. Today's NBS entry:

Quite nice - a light, champagney Biere de Garde - very different than the usual RIS with which I like to start the day!

Good Sunday morning BAs! Looks like some rain today, oh well. It's my birthday (Yay me!) so I'm starting things off with a favorite, a Bourbon Barrel Aged Plead the 5th. This is so good.

    Cheers all...
