Rogue Voodoo Maple Bacon Donut -- New Recipe?

    Heard from an industry source that Rogue is releasing a new batch of the Voodoo Maple Bacon Donut with a new recipe -- supposed to be released in the near future, possibly later this year. Anyone heard anything about this?

    NOTE: I'm not talking about the batch that hit distribution earlier this year.

    It would surprise me if they are releasing a new batch, mostly because the old batch is still collecting dust on shelves all over here in AZ. And I would think all over the distribution because of the mostly negative reviews of it unless AZ just ended up with a huge surplus of it for some reason.

    Right, but I would think it would be hard to sell a beer of the same name even with a new recipe when the old one obviously didn't sell well in some (possibly many) markets. But I guess stranger things have happened.

    The only change to this beer that would cause me to buy it again is if they packaged the bottle with a 100% instant rebate coupon and a free drain to pour the beer down.

    By the way.. I'm being extremely sarcastic about not buying something unless it comes in a Glow in the Dark bottle.. Seriously Rogue, wtF?!

    It is amazing how quickly Rogue dropped to the bottom of my list when I started really exploring craft beer. Like the Titanic.

    I won't ever buy the Pink Bottle of Death again.
    Just slap me across the face with a salmon, just as satisfying.

    I don't think I can remember the last time I bought a beer from Rogue. Definitely before I discovered BA and all that is out there.
