My photo server was dead to the world last night, so here is my mighty fine choice for the evening. No sign of infection, standard BCBS pour and nose, slightly lighter mouthfeel, but pretty typical bourbon soaked flavor. Happy.

First time trying Dark Lord. Couldn't think of a more appropriate glass for the occasion.

Finished a late night with this, bottled 3/24/14. Coffee was nonexistent, but the bourbon, charred wood and viscosity remained. I'm about to pop a brew and start drinking myself out of this mess. Cheers!

Lazy Magnolia Timber Beast Rye IPA

Appearance: Mildly hazy honey amber with fine bubble beaded head and good lacing.

Aroma: Caramel malt, spicy hops with a touch of earthiness. Striking in a pleasant way.

Taste: Full, spicy, caramel with a hoppy rye punch. Pleasant and lasting through the finish which is malty and hoppy in about equal measure. I don't notice the alcohol mentioned by other reviewers and at 9% ABV it's hardly a blockbuster.

Texture: Medium full without being heavy.

Overall: A beast of an Imperial Rye Ale which should appeal to those who want a heavy textured full flavored ale. Not stout like, not ale like, something in between and unique.
