That's essentially the majority that went to the first FO Dinner.

but the first dinner was half the price. I dont think at the $140 price point, without the ability to purchase a case, it would have sold out -- at least not that fast.

I'll probably post a few pics up. Also, +1 on the local sign up idea.

I think last year's FO dinner did't sell out until either one or two days beforehand. I remember staring at the screen a couple of times REALLY debating about hitting the buy button. I loved the two FO single barrel "variants" I had at last year's WoL, and really wanted to go to the dinner since I try to go to cool events like that as much as possible, but money was really tight at that time and I couldn't justify/afford the price as "low" as it was. Lowering the available bottles on future dinners might curb it a little, but even with 4-6, I think it would still be an instance sell out.

Let's just rename this thread to "FO Dinner" and point me in the right direction of the new Bottle Logic thread

Don't worry, in a couple of weeks (and for a month thereafter) it'll just be the "FO" thread...

Hey, at least it is about a beer dinner. Check the monkish "waiting in line" thread

People waiting in line for IPAs in Southern California is pretty much the apex of hilarity.

Although FO talk is interesting, Imperial Hazeshift (edit: 'HazeFlux') is on today. Might head over there for a growler before the game. I didn't get to try regular Hazeshift so I'm interested to see how it compares to Sticky Green from Monkish.

This batch of FO is supposed to be much larger than the last, there is going to be an online release and it will see some limited distribution (according to bottle logic Facebook and Instagram), so what's with the insane pre trades going on?? It's a great beer, but the stuff I'm seeing is crazy!

I don't know what the batch sizes are this year, but B1 (and every other BL beer) had limited distro. Online sale vs in person doesn't really matter, limits are lower this year than B1 for both the dinner and the public sale.

Man, I never get to BL or Noble. I just can't justify hitting them on a weekday and battling shitty peak traffic from and back to Huntington.

IIRC this years batch was double last year, but I don't think they have stated a bottle count this year.

~7200 bottles would be a lot of FO!

Assuming everybody at the dinner and all T3 people max out (which is probably not entirely realistic), that leaves enough bottles for about 1,620 people to max out their 3 bottles. Not too shabby. This of course doesn't account for cases going to retailers. Still, hoping that makes it easy enough to get come sale time.
