I previously started a thread on this and didn't include my trade partners name because I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but that thread was deleted and now it's just gotten to the point where I'm starting to realize that he's just not going to ship.

We agreed on a deal and on Thursday May 19th we agreed to ship the next day. I let him know that I was going to VT for vacation and I was really hoping to have the main bottle for the trip and let him know that it would have to be shipped within a couple days for me to receive it in time. I let him know that if he couldn't get it out in a day or two to let me know. He kept saying he would ship the next day and that Monday the 23rd I sent my box out after he finally accepted my trade request. He had excuses about work and school etc and as much as I was annoyed about not having the bottle for my trip I gave him the benefit of the doubt because life gets in the way sometimes. He asked what day would be best for him to ship since I wouldn't be home to receive the box and I said Thursday the 26th since I would be home that Sunday. He then said he would ship that Friday and after I came home on Monday the 30th I messaged him asking where the tracking number was. He had an excuse about being out of town and said that he wasn't going to screw me over and that he would ship on Friday when he came home. Friday the 3rd came and I didn't hear from him so I reached out again saying that I was going to start a thread if he didn't ship. He quickly sent me a tracking number which has not been dropped off at fedex even though he told me on Saturday he would drop it off and again on Sunday. Here we are on Monday and it's still not in fedex possession.

He currently has 4 open trades and he's had all of them open for as long as mine was agreed on so I'm just assuming he's screwing over as many people as possible before being banned.

Have you reached out to the other open trade partners? Might be worth drawing their attention to the issue.

looks like his account doesn't show the last time he was on at least publicly. Can you see that info?

I messaged him letting him know that I started this thread and asked if he has dropped off the package. I want to resolve this without his name being dragged through the mud for weeks like I've seen before and I just feel like I've exhausted all my options to figure this out without starting this. I hate to think I'm out all of this beer but it makes me more sick that he could be doing this to 3 other people at the same time. Hopefully one or more of them sees this and comments.

I certainly would if that were publicly visible but it just says he has 4 open trades with no further information.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I had a trade set up a with the guy a couple months ago but I continued to hold off on my shipment to him until I saw his shipment was sent (no idea why, but my gut was telling me to hold off). Long story short, we effectively agreed to let the trade die/expire which resulted in no ability to leave any feedback (before anyone jumps on me for this, I did have a discussion with one of the mods to get their input on my specific situation). That said, he has had a couple of positive trades between my experience and yours so there's that... my take is that guy simply had too many things going on and probably should hold off on trading until he had sufficient time to follow through on the trades).

Package is dropped off and should show up in the system. I'm very sorry for the delay. No good excuses, just busy. Probably need to break from trading for awhile. Thanks.

I appreciate the lack of excuses(serious). Honesty goes a long way. Glad you got the box out and hopefully this is resolved when it lands

Looking back through his history, there was neutral feedback left on 11/21/14 because of "headaches" including bad communication, multiple delays (sound familiar?), and sending the wrong box and it looks like the guy he mixed up boxes with also mentioned it a week or so before that. He also received positive feedback 2 months prior to that despite sending the wrong box then as well. This is why I've always said that it should be a "star" rating from 1-5 instead of just good, bad and neutral, especially when neutral doesn't affect your percentage score. Some people may not consider him a bad trader because he hasn't stolen any beer (yet) but he's certainly not a good trader in my eyes.

Good to see the bad trader in question showed up. OP, do all of your fellow traders a favor and leave appropriate feedback.

Just a quick updated, I received my package yesterday so his end of the deal has been fulfilled. I decided to leave negative feedback for a variety of reasons. The fact that it took starting this thread for him to ship is what pushed me over the edge. I was given 7 specific dates that he would ship and it shouldn't be on me to have to reach out every few days asking why he hasn't packed up and sent what amounted to being literally 1 bottle of beer. After starting this thread I was contacted by someone who let me know about similar issues with this trader in the past and without getting into the details, that combined with the other questionable feedback he's received along with my own experience has pushed this beyond neutral feedback and into the negative feedback territory. I'm a firm believer that you don't have to be a thief to be a bad trader.

Boom...issue resolved...well, at least OP got their box.

Scarlet label removed, thread title updated, and thread locked.

Leaving it up for reference naturally.

Ok...after some additional thought and conversation, I've changed my mind a bit on @djkuback (and not at all for the better)

He still has *four* open trades (including the one with @JStampler).

While we can't see directly the users with whom he has open trades (I'm thinking of you @jrnyc), you can cross reference feedback left for him against his partners and see that it appears as though he's failed to leave feedback of any kind in three of his last four trades dating back to September 2015. I have the names of those users, but won't bring them into this unless it is critical.

So, I don't think any other traders are currently at risk, but due to this behavior, I've slapped the bad trader tag back on him. I've also changed the title again to reflect this update.

@djkuback it's time to close out your responsibilities in trading. There's no excuse for not leaving feedback for almost *nine* months in one instance. Failure to do so will result (in a minimum) in revocation of your trading privileges if not a ban on your account. If you leave retaliatory feedback in any of those instances, you'll be banned without further ado.

    Mic *dropped*.

...AAAAAaaaand @djkuback was on this morning almost two hours ago and darn it if those outstanding feedbacks aren't still outstanding.

What's, I say son, what's the gimmick? What's it all about?

I've been a good sport about this up til now, but that boy's forcing me to use stronger measures.

You're on the clock. Get. It. Done.

    @F2brewers
Just wanted to make sure I took care of everything I needed to take care of. The above was unfortunate and will make sure to clean things up in the future. Also, I may have logged on from my phone and didn't see I had alerts (not sure if it shows you alerts on the mobile app) from you here, which is why I didn't take care of the feedback stuff right away. In any case, just wanted to follow back up but hadn't been able to because I don't think I had the privileges to respond. Also, wasn't able to send you a follow-up messages because I couldn't start a conversation with you. Thanks.

You always had privileges to respond here and to open conversations with me.

Looks like you still have an open trade. Can you close that or is it a new one?

And now the wait begins for an answer to a simple question from the MOD.......can't wait for the new excuses. Are you planning to reform your trading behavior or not? Start with better communications and keeping up with all the obligations that come with responsible trading. Too busy doesn't cut it anymore. Anybody who trades with you should insist you ship first.

Thanks for responding @F2brewers and @NiceBeerCans

I guess I could be wrong, but I tried writing you through private message and couldn't start a conversation with you and also couldn't respond to the private message you sent me (it was locked). I wrote the main BeerAdvocate just so I could get this thread back open.

All feedback is updated. I had one pending at some point yesterday, but it was a new trade that is closed now.

Yes, I have no problem shipping first. I actually suggested that with the open trade I had going on since I had the banner. Like I said, I plan to take a break from trading for a bit, but would be interested in the future. When that time comes, yes, I'll definitely work on better communication. I definitely own this thread. Again, my apologies!

    Cheers, all.
