Not much going on in Grove City. If you're willing to drive 10 minutes or so, you can get to Corner Stone in Old Town East. That's probably the closest decent place.

Had Warped Wing's Trotwood Lager today. Best summer beer I've had. It's replacing Prima Pils as my go to, as long as I can find it. Crisp, slightly sweet, and super crushable. Fantastic stuff if you see it.

I think legally it would be Aug 31 but who knows how soon it will actually start showing up. Can you guys imagine what the Brewers Brawl lineup could potentially look like at Fat Heads next year? They might actually have to collect tickets lol.

 

Well, I won't put words in Josbor's mouth, but no festival that I have ever been to collected tasting tickets dillegently. It is one reason I didn't go to Brewer Ball this year... I knew I would have been slammed and I had to be somewhat sober that evening.

As far as the law goes, I only see Jackie O's and a few others doing it right over 12%. I'm still curious what they will do about the labeling mandate for out of state brewers.

 

Any festival I've ever been to has great intentions on ticket collection/list marking...then the event goes on and many don't give a shit in the end. To pretend that isn't a regular occurrence seems silly.

As far I as know there hasn't been any clarity on the labeling issue yet right? Does it have to be on the physical label itself? Can it be a sticker added to the label by the brewer, distributor or retail point of sale? Does anyone have any more information on that than I?

 

My best guess door number two. I don't see any way in hell outside breweries are making special labels for OH. I know Founders did with KBS but that seemed like a silly exception due to the amount of sales they get in our state. I would think it will most likely be some sort of tag added onto the actual label but I could also see the state having problems with this as they can fall / peel off. Will be interesting to see how they handle it.
