    From the folks at Lazy Magnolia, their version of a Nut Brown Ale:

    Appearance: Rich dark red color, light cap that quickly goes away.

    Aroma: Caramel malt, toffee, little apparent hops. I closed my eyes trying to get a whif of some pecan in there but didn't find that specific scent.

    Taste: Very good, mildly rich in a caramely, toffeeish way. Honeyish, seemingly sweet without being cloyingly sweet, nice in an almost non beer way. Hops are present in the background but never assert themselves.

    Texture: Medium full without being chewy. Good balance of the flavors presented.

    Overall: Not a bad try at whatever they were trying for. To me it's more of a British mild without the freshness of a proper cask ale. It tastes good to our resident Guinness fan and to visitors who really don't drink much beer. The worst I can say is it probably won't appeal to a dedicated beer drinker except as a novelty. The best I can say is I don't think it's flavor will offend anyone and is a much better choice than these hard root beers currently on the market.

    Yoooooooo, this looks insanely awesome. I always like the Southern Tier stuff and I have seen this advertised. How was it, by the way?

    I am not a morning drinker, but last night I had Full Pint's new Social grapefruit session IPA and was drinking Fat Tire Amber Ale's by New Belgium while watching the Penguins play the San Jose Sharks fighting for their life and getting in the way of us winning the Stanley Cup! Riot Police and mounted police where in tow, in case things went south post game.

    Yummy breakfast. Little brother fixed me some local Oddly Correct coffee. I forgot I had a bar of dark chocolate from Fort Collins that pairs well with coffee. Otherwise, eggs and local maple bacon breakfast sausage. All tied up with Sierra Nevada's Dunkelweizen Bock. No doubt I wish I had a coffee stout on hand, but this SN is working well so far.
