Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! Looks like they were wrong about the weather once again. No storms forecasted anymore. Wish my bike wasn’t still in the shop. I hope Fox finishes my fork rebuild this week. I need some trail riding super soon.

Incredible gose as always. Flavors of big tart cherry, lemon, lime, green apple, wheat, cracker, coriander, sea salt, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice sized fruity/acidic sour finish; balanced cherry/lacto acidity with salinity and light malty sweetness in the mouthfeel. Highly drinkable despite higher acidity. I wish this was year round. So much fantastic sour cherry flavor for the low ABV. If I see any more 4 packs, I will definitely pick more up, but they seem to have all disappeared by now.

Incredible blonde ale. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, pineapple, peach, mango, papaya, berry, light pepper, and pine hops; light caramel/toasted bread malt; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-medium pine/herbal/spicy bitterness; light-medium bodied; very smooth/crisp finish; some grainy creaminess and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate dryness. Super bright and a bit dank on hops. Spot on for a blonde ale, not too bitter, but has a ton of hop complexity. I've been grabbing singles while they are still around. Wish this was year round like Citradelic. Yet another favorite to my ever growing list of Mosaic heavy beers.

Finally got my beers courtesy of Bock day recently. April 2014 vintage, proper glassware. This is amazing! Flavors of huge raisin, prune, fig, date, cherry, banana, bubblegum, pepper, clove, caramel, molasses, toffee, toasted dark bread, biscuit, and light nuttiness. Balanced yeast spiciness against sweetness, with zero cloying. Big bready/creamy and lightly slick full body mouthfeel. Pleasantly warming finish with minimal booziness. Wow, this is better than I recall when I reviewed it 3 years ago! Truly fantastic beer. Will have to revisit again very soon. After I drink the regular Aventinus I have, which is always world class.

This is fantastic! Flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, toffee, bourbon, toasted oak, dark bread, cinnamon, chili pepper, nuttiness, and light smoke. Bittersweet roast and oak/pepper spice on the finish. Full bodied with a very creamy and lightly slick/chalky mouthfeel. Wow, this is a bit better than I reviewed 2 years ago. Definitely more cinnamon/chili spice presence than was in the 2014 batch. Great barrel complexity and balance, with minimal booziness. Well worth picking up again if I see it.

I can't take this brewery seriously. The beer isn't bad but the name and packaging remind me of Horny Goat. Gimmicky.

Good morning BAs! Starting off as a sunny Saturday here in NW PA. Todays new breakfast beer:

Not sure how I feel about this brew - not very stouty, more of a sour. Still, it's better than most of the New Braunfels Brewery stuff (virtually all sours, intentionally or otherwise) that I've had.

Appearance: Looks hazy at first until you realize that's just the depth of the rich amber color. Like bottled late afternoon sunlight. Rich, small bead white cap with good lacing.

Aroma: Earthy, spicy hops, rich malt core, good interplay between the two.

Taste: Tasty hops announce the entry like a trumpet voluntary. Rich caramel malts follow with hops sailing above the solid malt structure. This is good stuff. Finish is is the reverse with hops away followed by rounded rich malt. It's 7.2 % ABV, you mean I can have only one? Aw, man.

Texture: As full as one could ask.

Overall: Someone is on their game here, the hop mixture used is beautifully balanced. The malt core is sufficient to counter the hops and the whole just works so well together. I thought the high hop level might be a bit off putting . . . I was wrong.

Contrary to the picture, this beer tastes nothing like astronauts. Unless, of course, astronauts taste sort of fruity and hoppy. If I'm being completely honest, I've never actually bitten into an astronaut. The beer may, in fact, taste exactly like one does after they've stepped foot on the moon.
