So due to a new job I'll be moving across the country...but that leaves me with the issue of moving my cellar too. Any suggestions on the best way to do this? All my stuff is being shipped and I'll be flying. I'm guessing either just pack really well for the truck or try to ship all the beer ahead of time to the new address.

Anyone else have experience with moving their cellar? Any tips or advice?

    Thanks so much!

Seriously, I would drink the most precious stuff. Better drink them earlier than you'd like than to find out they broke en route.

Moving right now so dealing with this same issue. Luckily mine is a short move and I am driving everything myself.

How many bottles roughly are we talking about? I amy be wrong but I believe that most moving companies dont allow alcohol because of grey area legality of transporting over state lines or something? This is hazy to me and I didn't bother to google but something you will want to look into. Probably a dont ask dont tell situation anyways.

Thats a really good point. Didn't think about them not even allowing it. Its not a crazy huge cellar. I'd say 100ish bottles. Sounds like I'll be either really drunk soon or ill be spending tons on sending myself boxes lol

How long will the truck be on road? It may be the same as a box being shipped UPS?FEDX Ground in a trade , 3-5 days on road in a truck and facilty. The big difference these may be rare brews so you have that, also depends on how hot the weather will be for the trip. I think you should be OK, if packed well you should not have any broken bottles, biggest factor may be heat.
