I have been waiting since March to try Founders Breakfast Stout for the first time.

Now September rolls around and the bad news comes. They don't distribute in Florida. On top of it, no local distributor can order it,,, something about selling across state lines.

Is there any site or method to special order it?

You could always trade for it.

Yeah you'd have to trade or find some relatives that can get it.
You can look online too, just google search.
I know BineandVine or something like that sells bottles.

I used to live in FL. Use CCB to trade for what you want. People love CCB.

Founders doesn't really want to distribute here yet so they're not here yet. when they do, they will be here.

No offense, but have you seen any other Founders beers in your area? What made you think if you hadn't seen anything else from them that FBS would magically show up?

Ive spoken with some people at Founders in the past and they are in no rush to enter FL. Im sure it'll happen eventually, but I wouldn't bet on it being anytime soon.

What do you mean no offense? How do you write an intentionally insulting comment and then try to say "no offense but,"

Not to mention you didn't help at all, but hey,,,,,,,,,, thanks for the response.

That's interesting. I was just talking about it with a friend and wondered why they would hesitate to enter the 4th largest state in the country. Are they only selling in California, Texas, and New York, because Florida has far more people than Illinois at number 5.

Just trying to get your logic here. Wouldn't it stand to reason if you've never seen a Founders beer in your state that wouldn't change just because FBS was coming out?

And really I wasn't trying to be rude, I am just trying to figure out how you got your hopes up. Did someone incorrectly tell you it was coming?

And you've already been helped. You are going to have to trade for it, even if you find it online for sale it is likely going to be sold out due to popularity.

You must be new: that was far from insulting.
He's just saying that you are most likely not seeing FBS in FL for the same reason that you're not seeing any other Founders products (are you??), and that it is not going to appear magically on the release date.
Here's something that may help you in your future searches

My logic is simple. Breakfast Stout was the only one I was interested in, so no, I didn't look for other Founder's products. Neither was I suspicious that there would be no way to buy one anywhere in Florida. Maybe my store just didn't happen to carry them? Who knew? I don't know why you feel the need to try and make that lack of knowledge seem stupid, but cheers. Hindsight is 20/20 for you isn't?

Sorry you are offended by my questions. On a side note, FBS shouldn't be the only beer from Founders you are interested in, they make some fantastic stuff, and you get CCB so you have the ammo to trade.

I think part of the problem is that FL is a larger market. The last two states they went into, New Hampshire and Maine, both have populations slightly over 1 million. Florida is over 19 million. I don't think they are prepared to enter FL. They don't make enough beer. However Founders is still in the process of expanding and, like I said, I wouldn't be surprised to see them in FL in 2013 or early 2014.
