I'd probably travel to pay $30 for the fruited sours knowing there would be less people in line

Not sure but I know HF is currently selling 500 ml Damon for $22, which also spent time in bourbon barrels for however much time. Allagash sells their coolship beers for $15 for 375 ml (or $.04 per ml). For this same price per ml, a 500 ml would cost $20 and a 750 ml would cost $30. As I mentioned before, I know Rare Barrel regularly prices their 750 ml at $30. Pizza Boy also has some of their sour beers at $30 or above. I know that many breweries sell their BA stouts at this price as well. As mentioned above, Casey has some 750 ml at $36 and Lost Abbey has some 750 ml at $40 (or $.0533 per ml). So if JK wanted to go the Lost Abbey route, they could charge approx. $26.65 for their 500 ml). And people would still buy them and it would sell out relatively quickly (unless it was Nocturn last year :flushed:).

This is probably correct. JK could sell out Atrial and special one off blends (Synthesis, Shatrial, Ginturn) at these prices and still be out the first weekend. But others, such as Fen Tao, BdBdB, Colour 5, the aforementioned Nocturn, would likely take much longer. But we all know the difference between the trade level and secondary market price of the first category vs. the second category. :grinning:

People may need to resort to asking strangers for spare change on the brewery grounds to be able to afford these beers.

I'll pick up my case this weekend. Fucking *love* this beer. Smokey, sour, herbal.
Brewed up a batch using the recipe posted a few years back and I can't wait to compare.
The less y'all buy the more for me =) Hoping it sees distro and makes it up to The Growler Bar.
Flood got Petite, Autumnal, Noble King, Boxer's up here. I'm stoked I don't have to drive 45 minutes
    to buy JK!

Now, if they'd just brew up some more Salt Lick/Censored ... I've got one bottle left and it's waiting for
    my homebrew version to compare.

Add Side Project to the list of breweries whose fruited sours sell out - I think I remember correctly that Smooth was $20/375ml. I could easily imagine $30/500ml at JK selling out with no problem.

I'll be heading there after work from SA. How does it look on a Friday evening on a release such as this?? Big lines?

Basically, we've decided to raise the price on stainless steel fermented beer by $1/bottle, barrel aged sour beer by $2/bottle, and barrel aged sour beer refermented with fruit by $4/bottle. The price of our blends of stainless steel fermented beer with barrel aged sour beer (bière de coupage) was kept the same.

Like I mentioned on Facebook, this is our first price increase in a very long time, and I don't anticipate making another increase anytime soon.

Should be relatively quiet. Friday night is usually the best night to go.

I think at $30 a bottle they would still sell out but it would take a month or two instead of a week or two. Personally after this price increase I'll be buying less than normal and if it ever did get as high as $30/500ml I'd be done but to each their own.
