Yeah, Monkish probably hates all this hype and longs for the days of 3 people in the tasting room sitting around drinking Feminist.

Corrected on that, Meant mixed fermentation as to when they started to get back on the map with their fruited sours. Around the time from when they did Pushing Carts/Kart Fetish with HPB.

Hey all, apologies if this has been asked and answered a million times already, but hoping to get out to LA soon and it would be great to have an idea as to how best to plan for grabbing some canned goodness. For Monkish cans, it looks like they've adopted the Other Half model of releases every other Saturday -- do you also need to be on the line well in advance of the Noon opening to ensure you don't go home empty-handed? Looks like Highland Park is also doing every-other-week releases as well (but on Fridays) -- any info on if there's a line and/or how quickly those beers move would be very helpful. Are there any other breweries in the area doing can releases? I saw that Noble just did the collab with Cellarmaker; anyone know if they're going to start shifting to cans more regularly? Thanks in advance for any info anyone can share.

For Monkish they have been every other week but that's not a guarantee. They usually post on IG mid week that they will be having a can release and details are usually posted by Friday.

Monkish will most likely keep the every two week schedule because it's based on their brew schedule. Once a beer is ready they package it and need to get it out for the next batch. I would say it's pretty safe to assume it will be energy two weeks for the next few months.

As for getting in line, it's hard to predict. Right now it looks like 930am is about the cutoff time to be guaranteed a full allotment but that could change.

Re: Noble, I've heard rumblings that they want to start canning more but nothing for certain.

You might want to set up an IP trade if you miss any can releases by a week etc. There are a lot of willing SoCal people that are always looking for beer other than their local stuff.

Later than that I think. The last two releases people that got in line around mid 10ish were able to get full allocations.

Anyone try First Things First/Run the Pigeon/Foggy Window recenty - how's it holding up? I just cracked a Supa Dupa Fly and it still is tasting nearly as good as when I first picked it up. I notice slightly less hop flavor and theres some floaters in my glass but the aroma and taste are still great.

Well, you would have been completely trashed by all them BT vertical tastings in that 3 hour times. So of course it would have tasted better.

It's kind of funny that because it's not a "can release", no one is talking about Monkish's new ipa releasing today.

I guess what I was trying to say is that because it's not a can release, there doesn't seem to be the rush of people wanting to go and actually drink the beer.

Which is perfect because I'm heading down there in a few hours to fill a couple just for myself.
