Has anyone seen cans of nooner or primas pils around DC?

 

Anyone know of any Rodenbach Alexander near sterling?

 

Saw a bunch of the Kirsch Gose last night at Whole Foods Vienna. In the produce section, not the beer section.

 

Whole foods P st has space reaper cans. Anyone try this yet? Worth getting? Solar abyss was good last year but OTWOA has kinda fallen off, trying to see whether its worth 18.99/6

 

Throwing this out there again - anyone know where I can find Lost Rhino - Dark Hours, or, when it will be re-released?

 

I have two of them. Not sure it's being released again any time soon.

 

Pretty sure that it's a yearly release. It was at the beginning of January this year, so you got another 6-7 months to go. Doubt you will be able to find any around the area unless you trade. It went pretty fast.

 

Has anyone seen Avery Xototl in DC?

 

Not DC, but Dominion had a bunch when I was there yesterday.

 

Fwiw, I went to Aslin on Friday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. Sure they didn't have the big guns on, but I got a seat at the bar and all the Neutrino (a damn fine beer) I could want!

 

What's the verdict on space reaper? Good? Undercarbed?

 

Dominion and Norms have it, a bit outside DC though

 

Just cracked a can and it's appropriately-carbed. Good, very good even, but not quite as good as I recall last year's being. I am the first to chalk this up to rose-colored-glasses-memory-syndrome, so I would not hesitate to buy a sixer.

 

^ Agreed, slightly inferior but not by much. This tastes a bit more like Wings to me, and has less of the characteristic berry flavor of Mosaic but more citrus. We were told it was still all Mosaic, but if you had told me they added Citra, I would have believed you.

 

Caveats: Draft only, haven't cracked a can yet. I still think it's the best beer they have made.

 

Anything crazy dropping in Richmond this week on Wednesday? Will be down for work and would like to grab something nice/hard to get.

Don't think they've had a release recently where the cans made it to Wednesday. Go to the Answer and get some crowlers filled.

 

they haven't (think only 1 can release has so far...) but this would be the one that did, if any, as it's a double batch of Master Shredder

 

I think the first Tuesday release after the Saturday opening was the only can release that lasted until the next day. It was a Shredder and CT release. With the current hype level I can't see cans lasting more than one day until they scale up.
