I know...Makes me slightly hesitant to buy more, but it's such a great beer, I'll never regret having more BASS... Does this make #3 or 4? Or the first round of 2016?

First BASS of 2016. 2016 vintage. I am excited since I am almost out of all BASS bottles and it hasn't been on draft enough (well enough for me).

Wait, anyone thought this was going to be difficult? If it's not an adjunct speedway variant, no one really swoops these up. And even the vertical... generally gets very little praise no matter how tasty AF they may be.

Hey that is fine. More for me to enjoy on draft and if I run out of the 4 bottles, perhaps there will be some extra in their store for me to grab to keep getting my fix.

But didn't we say when Hammerhead and Mexican came out that no one cares if they're not BA...

I don't get the seemingly total lack of interest that this is getting. No one cares or BASS anymore? Unless is BAVSS or Velvet, it's crap? Odd.

Also I am hoping for grumbler fills so that when I finish my bottles I can get it as the wed. grumbler fill and pair it flawlessly with my hot wings. =P

Now that I've got a buddy in San Diego that can pick these up for me, I was happy to put in my order. Now I just need to get him a shipper to send them in after he picks them up - if anyone knows of a good spot he can easily grab one, I'd love to know. I know places around me sell them, so I figured there must be similar places in San Diego.

BASS sales aren't like the adjunct regular or ba versions at all. They often last weeks, even up to the pick up date and beyond. The amount they are able to produce now sort of helps out as well.

Not saying it's crap, there's a ton of amazing shelf beers that don't move at your local store, doesn't mean they're crap. Just means they don't get the same hype behind them to move such numbers.

Just cause it doesn't sell out has no baring on the quality of the product. I love this stuff. So I'm glad it's not an F5 shit show to get it. But I don't know why anyone is surprised that it has gone by for many releases of not being a fast seller.

Roughly a mile away there is a uHaul off Miralani that sells 1-2-3-6-12 bottle shippers. You can also send your buddy across the street to drink at 2Kids, Pacific and Setting Sun Sake (soon, I think July for this one).

Edit: And goto Mikkeller as well as Miramar Speed Circuit and get some "not quite sober" go-kart racing on.

I know for me it's about pricing. I can get plenty of good (some great) ba stouts for half of BASS.

I still have BASS sitting around from previous releases. I have enough beer I have to drink that I don't need to keep buying the same old same old.

Thanks - I was thinking of U-Haul, as that's where I've seen them here too. That sounds a lot easier than me sending him one of my own shippers just to send back to me (at least it's easier for me)!

Sorry if this was mentioned, but which of the BA Olde Ale bottles have not been released? My guess would be the 2015, but I'm not sure how they determine the date of the bottle. Is it the date it went in the barrel, or the date it was bottled? In 2015, they have BA Olde Ale with the Kona Speedway release, and I bought those. I guess I just want to make sure I'm not buying bottles of a vintage I already have. Any help here?
