Kuhnhenn Summer Solstice 2016

Still nothing on bottle release?

 

Still early for Kuhnehnn lol. IIRC there was a release last year or two where we found out the day of what bottles were being released while in line.

 

waaaaat..... I've been up to date on most things Kuhnhenn, and attended many of these releases.
You'll have to enlighten me on the mystery bottle release.

 

I don't recall which one it was. I think it was the summer solstice release though where they decided on 4D as the 2nd bottle and then told us in line what the allocations would be as well.

 

Maybe the Solstice Stout release two years ago?

 

Did this last for a few days last year? Seems like I remember it did, maybe close to a week and they started letting people buy 4 packs of one beer instead of just the pre-mixed 4pack? Maybe I'm thinking of winter.....

 

I think you're thinking of winter. I thought the summer stuff sold out the same day. I went to it, and was able to cycle through the line a couple times (which they were fine with) and I thought I recall it being nearly gone after my last time.

 

Yeah, last year's Winter 4pks lasted for weeks. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they still had some sitting around...

 

Shit, you guys—I think I just figured out what they're releasing this weekend.

As recently as April, they weren't breaking the pre-mixed 4 packs from the winter release.

 

Wow. They r completely unorganized. So ,I called Warren today and all she could tell me is the taps will begin at 4 pm there. Band starts at 8. As far as bottles, she only knew it would be at the other facility. So I called there. They r purposely according to the gentlemen I spoke to keeping this under wraps. All he mentioned is he heard some vintage barley wine. Sales should start there at 11. He had no idea about costs, allocations, or anything. I've been to the last few solstice events and god these r going downhill. Hell at the last summer event I waited two hours for them to get their credit card machine working.

 

You sir are a genius. No new bottles. Apparently, their bottling machine "took a shit" in true Kuhnhenn fashion.

 

What a train wreck but to be honest the bottles they were going to release didn't sound like something up my alley so vintage is cool with me.

 

Haha. Heading to the tiger game Saturday and thought, what the hell, just leave an hour early from GR and swing by Warren to pick up a few bottles. Guess not.

 

Yikes. I'm not sure how still having bottles on hand four months after the initial release can be seen as anything but utter failure. Especially when one of those beers is an IPA...

 

Maybe @LiquidTable can chime in with some details regarding the bottle release. It should be figured out by now. I mean, the release is tomorrow.

 

No new releases....only vintage bottles released at the Clinton Twp. location. No bottle count.

 

^ I think he is asking for detail on the vintage bottles being released so we can all make a decision on whether to trek over or not.

 

It would be a great suprise if they released some Solstice Stout. If they do, drink immediately. I wish I was able to make it, but I guess Flordia beers will have to do. If anyone gets any extras, please let me know.
