I completed a trade with another user almost 2 months ago. I left feedback on them but they have yet to leave feedback for me. I messaged them after receiving thier package and after I left feedback. They haven't even responded to that. What, if anything, should I do now? Should I just continue to let the trade sit open? Should I just give up and cancel it. I would like the feedback and the trade counted but is it really worth it at this point?
Try nudging the trader gently again. I've had to do this with (good) traders who simply forget about the open trade. A little reminder shouldn't hurt or offend anybody!
Aside from reminding them to fulfill their part of the system, there's not much you can do. Once you leave feedback, you can change it (for up to 60 days), but you can't erase it. At that point only @Todd can remove the trade from the system. Are they still on BA regularly? If so, BM me your partner's info and I'll *nudge* them to leave appropriate feedback. IMO, failure to do so should result in a loss of trading privileges (along with some kind of banner not unlike a "bad trader") until they fulfill their responsibility. @Todd ?
Since I recently found myself in a similar situation, I am hoping for some clarification. I went above and beyond in a trade, and left sparkling feedback. Yet the trader will not answer my "nudges" on feedback. I even stated that if I unknowingly, I would like to know and correct it. Since I cannot get a response from the trader (and I can see that he reads my messages), can I request to have the feedback I left removed?
I am now basically in same situation as OP. Completed a very smooth IP trade with the guy. He was on-time, great communication and he threw in a nice extra on top of it all. I left him (deserved) positive feedback but my 'nudges' for him to leave feedback for me have gone unanswered . More than getting just feedback, I'd like that open trade to be closed because I don't like having it looking like I have a bunch of open trades as I try to make new ones. I become hesitatant when I see someone I'm in a conversation with have a few open trades already. I'd like to avoid being in that situation. Is there no other way to help resolve this kind of issue for community at large? How about leaving that red indication next to trading until feedback is left all the way, and not just trade accepted? Something like that, or an auto-reminder every 2 weeks until completed?
I saw this thread popped up again. I have had a trade open since July. I left immediate feedback, but am still waiting for receive mine despite many nudges. Since it is beyond 120 days, I can only hope the trader gets in the slow line at the grocery store for the rest of his life until he leaves feedback.
@eifster82 @JohnnyHopps Please BM me the traders names. I will try and resolve this for you two. Thanks, Dave
@eifster82 I can't help you if you don't BM me the traders name. Apparently it's not that important if you can peruse the site and not respond to my tag from yesterday...So I'll try one last time. If it matters, @JohnnyHopps BM'd his trader and his feedback has been resolved from 120+ days...Just sayin' Cheers! Dave
My apologies. I read your post and forgot to respond (might have had something to do with the beer consumed last night). Thank you for the offer to help, but the individual in question either saw my post/comment and they kindly left feedback or it's just coincidence with the perfect timing. My trades are all closed out.
