fingers crossed for an online sign up for 3 bottles per person with a multiple weekend window for pickup.

I place the chances of this happening (like b1) slightly below the chances that I'll hit the next mega millions.

Yeah...don't think they'll ever do that again. 1 pp sells out in two days like last time.

Why do I have a feeling this will get released the same day my next child gets released?? We're due late August, may the Beer Gods be with us...

Like they did for Zwanze Day, JK should have a lottery online for the right to buy bottles of these whale beers. I know that a number of CA breweries do this. It solves the sh*t show of having to line up hours in advance and hope there's still bottles left when you get to the front of the line. You can require people to physically show up to pick up the beers and require a photo ID to keep people from using bots, doubling up, etc. I'm sure people will still have their buddies try to buy but if it's a lottery and you HAVE to show up to pick up your beer, there should be less of that.

This might be less of a shitshow for the buyers, but based on the three rounds of drawing and delay due to people trying to game the system, it would probably be more of a shitshow for @jesterkingbeer

Online lotteries lead to bottles selling out in 30 seconds, and exactly the same amount of crying.

Agreed. The release is fine as is. Last year was no big deal. Showed up at like 4pm on Saturday and got 2 bottles. There wasn't even a line.

Hopefully they increase the price and reduce the production

A price increase is pretty much expected but not sure about bottle count.

Agree with @smb , last year's release wasn't bad at all. Friday afternoon got there at 4 and there was a long as all hell line. My friend got in line while I went and got beers for us both. Basically we had time to drink our beer and we were at the tent and able to buy our bottles. We hung around for a couple of hours and there was no line and everyone was relaxed. Really pleasant experience.

Having gone to MvB release last year on a Saturday, that did feel much more like a shitshow... just so many people, even after bottles had sold out (I missed out on bottles).

    Ouch. I hope we're still under $20.
