I just suck it up and pound the Old Style.

    When in Rome...

Actually you'll need to thank GI for the InBev thing if you're happy to see GI there because the Cubbies signed an exclusive contract with them LINK
PS...considering the price of the rest of those AAL's, I would say that it is a good deal

    Bad news...see above

$10.50 for those beers? Yikes when I see it that expensive, but goes to show beer is always really marked up at ballparks anyway. Makes the $9 I recall paying for beer at an airport once since it was hard to find any bars there, seem cheap lol.

That's the price of Matilda and Sofie at the UC as well. So this doesn't surprise me.

So after tip, I'd probably either be spending $10 for a Bud Light, or $12 for a GI beer. So 20% more for a GI beer. I'd say the GI beers are much more than 20% better than Bud Light, so to me it's an easy decision.

Honestly, would rather have a 16oz 312 than a 12oz farmhouse ale at a baseball game, but to be fair I've never cared enough about Sophie/Matilda to pay the premium regardless of the location...

Nah, they still have Old Style but you have to know where to find it. It's at a beer stand at the top of section 205 (or right around there). I'm not sure what I paid for it at the home opener though. 16oz cans only.

GI 312 Pale Ale is $9 per 16oz can from the venders. That's not great, but I'll still do maybe one Old Style and one 312 Pale Ale at games.

They have Green Line drafts for $9 at stands too. That is what I have been getting.

Old Style is not brewed in Chicago anymore. It is brewed in Milwaukee. At that point I stopped drinking it at Cubs games.

Reviving an old thread, but I wanted to see if there has been any improvement as far as beer offerings at Wrigley. I reckon it's all InBev all the time, but I was hoping the thought of making money off of people like me would be enough to open a stand or two with deeper choices.

Heading there for the Phish shows this weekend and want to be able to quench my thirst on something other than Goose or Old Style.

That's a shame. While the Cell may be a dreary place for a game, the beer stand outside of section 141/142 did me very well. Daisy Cutter, Furious, and a host of others.

    Get with the program, Cubs.

Wrigley Field is not a place to consume craft beer.

I was just at Wrigley last week and the "best" thing they had was GI Green Line ... its a craft beer wasteland.

The Cell did have a decent selection of cans, but it would be nice if they could get something on draft. That may be tougher to do, but I definitely prefer having a draft beer at a ballgame. Of course, I should probably just be happy that I had the selection I did.

I have always preferred the beer options in the south side. In the early 80's we enjoyed a special on the top level: an augie and a doggie for $2. Augsburger...no really.
That said, I will always enjoy any cold beer at a ballgame...Wrigley and Old Style included.

At the club level, Anti-Hero was on tap as were several other solid taps last year. Regretably, I have not made it this year since White Sox baseball is as joyous as falling down a flight of stairs.

If you are already paying the cover (entry ticket) to sit in Chicago's biggest bar, what's a $10.50 beer in the scheme of things. Personally, I'd go splurge at a good craft beer bar that shows the game and come out way ahead.
