I'm glad they want to stay closely connected with Philly.

For the past few years I've thought Yards would be prime target for an acquisition or outside investor. They could still go that route, but at least this indicates it wouldn't be their first choice.

As long as they keep doing their own thing, this will be great. Hopefully they can start distributing to NY soon with the added volume.

I second that. Also, really digging their new Golden Hop ipa. Can't go wrong with Mosaic hops.

Cans of PPA, ESA and Brawler would be fantastic.

I'm bummed that Love Stout has seemed to replace ESA in their variety cases. Not that Love Stout is a bad beer, I just am a big fan of the ESA. Especially if you can catch it on cask.

Agreed... I no longer can purchase the Yards mixed case as my go to crowd pleaser for friend and family functions (evn though im a huge Yards supporter). In the old days, even the non-craft fans would gobble up all of the ESA, Brawler and PPA. I didn't mind a few IPAs left behind. First time I bought the new configuration, I was left with nearly all the IPAs and Love Stouts and a few grumbles to boot that the ESA was gone.

Looks like they found their location, and they are expanding capacity while staying independent and in Philly

They are going from 38,000 sq ft to 85,000 sq ft and an increasing production capability from 60,000 barrels to 100,000 barrels

    and adding a canning line!!
"Key to that plan is the addition of a canning line the additional space would accommodate, opening up new sales channels such as ballparks while appealing to consumers who prefer canned beer, Kehoe said."
