Oh, he's the true king. But, it's been so long since we've had a sighting, I wanted to make sure it's still him, and not some imposter.

Regular people who dont stand in lines??? I guess that does not include Seattle people. With a Saturday 11am release, the line will be massive. But i guess we are used to standing in line at this point...thanks

Please remember that, however big the line might be on Saturday, you needn't wait in it to pick up some of the beer. Fremont made enough, and will be distributing it widely enough in Seattle and elsewhere, that any regular, if dedicated, person should be able to find a bottle at a shop or grocery store. They didn't have to do that. A lot (most?) of small breweries don't for special releases like this. We should be grateful they did.

If you're still determined to go on the 9th, you'll probably be all right simply waiting until the afternoon, after all the tents, hobos and mini-mules clear out. With a sensible two bottle limit, I doubt this will be all gone by the time the circus passes through...

Was the limit one or two last time? I only bought one, but remember them being pretty hard core about preventing people from coming back for more. Still wasn't hard to get a bottle.

    How times (probably) change.

Speaking of distribution, have there been any sightings in any local bottles shops? If memory serves, today was the day some shops had indicated they expected to receive their allocation. That was a bit over a week ago, and I haven't heard anything new since then.

I believe there was a delay with labeling issues and the bottles haven't gone out yet.

I remember that, but again, if memory serves, I thought that was the reason given for why stores weren't getting their allocation till 6/29. Of course given the news regarding the upcoming event at the brewery (for 7/9/16), it did make me wonder about the predicted 6/29 drop date.

hopefully portland gets some. Ill be in Hood River on the 9th. But given that this looks like a crowded beer geek shitshow, i dont think I would have gone up to Seattle anyways.

looks like i'll be out of town for this one :slight_frown: i was really hoping to show up to this release with a 12-pack of summer ale and have a beer share with myself for 3 hours.

what's the bottle count on this thing?

Portland should be getting some. And then maybe, hopefully, Portland starts sending some of their limited releases up our way. Either way, if you ever come up for any releases around here don't hesitate to jump in. We're a friendly bunch.

Im not even sure what comes out of Portland(in BOTTLES) that is super limited anymore? I suppose Fantasia/Peche n Brett(hood river, but still) Not sure if you get the other Upright offerings throughout the year.

hair of the dog specials dont leave the brewery.

Block 15 specials dont leave Corvallis

Im pretty sure Deschutes sends all their stuff up your way, and if they dont, it hangs around Portland for YEARS (seriously, you can still get 14-15 Mirror Mirror, Black Butte 27, and Black Butte3 at the Portland Pub). BTW, had the 5 year vertical of Black Butte at the Portland pub the other day and I gotta say that the old vintages age SO damn well. Blows Abyss away IMO.

What, a guy can't hide 40 feet underground in his luxury bunker for a few months when he realizes the end is coming?

Only reason I came up was because (1) the Cards were in town for the first time in 14 years, (2) I've never had Rusty Nail and I will be getting my bottles, and (3) I ran out of eggs.

But I'll be heading back down well before November.

Though we have different locals, I'm curious about this as well. My understanding was the 29th (i.e., yesterday) was when bottles would be appearing in bottle shops. I wouldn't mind if it took a few more days for that to happen, as I spent too much money in Oly last weekend on gifts for various relations' birthdays and certain parentally fixated holidays (hadn't seen any of 'em in several months). A Tuesday appearance in local bottleshops would be fine with me.
