There are, undoubtedly, diamonds that are shrouded by scarcity & clout from other heavy hitters. They're everywhere, but most overlook or scoff at.

For me, indulging in a Knee Deep Hoparillo, I'm realizing I have never, ever been remotely able to point out a single major fault in any Knee Deep brew I've had. They make some BIG IPAs, and all of them have been the most easily-drinkable, flavor blasted brews I could have ever hoped for.
Yet at my store I have the hardest time selling their product. Not only is the 22oz format difficult for people understand, but the idea from supporting a brewery they've never known of until I pointed them out makes the customer even more skeptical.
Even though their labels are...well..."humbly" designed, they're a testament to "it's what's inside the bottle that counts".

*edit: I've also had a Breaking Bud, bottled 7 months before opening, and it still tasted just as delicious. That really says something*

What say you? What accessible beer do you think people overlook too often?

Well, I think people in my area overlook Troegs. They are a great brewery, but they are always overlooked.

Bit, if I mist say...Rock Bottom in my area is always deemed sub par, but they are always a great choice to get. Yes they are all growlers, but they can have some good brews.

River Horse. They CONSISTENTLY put out new beers all year every season. The staples are nothing special BUT are very solid traditional styles and should be respected and the seasonals are great. And they can do everything from a west coast ipa to farmhouse to unfiltered lagers.

My vote goes to Silver City. Their Hefeweizen and Scotch ale are amazing, and their special releases never fail to impress.

Accessible is the key word in the thread title...none of the breweries mentioned so far are available to me. They may be underrated, but accessible??

Not really underrated, but I'll go with Oskar Blues for best accessible brewery...
Pinner is a great session IPA and Blue Dream is a pretty damn good IPA IMO. Ten Fidy is a great impy stout and Death By Coconut is a stellar porter variant.

Totally agree with you on Knee Deep. One of my favorites. Also, from a Californians stand point, I'm still amazed how very little I see Coronado and Modern Times on posts. Ballast Point is on here all the time, and quite honestly I feel Coronado makes better products for less cost out of pocket. As far as MT goes, I do't know how large there distribution footprint is, but around here it flies off the shelves, yet I rarely see it mentioned or pictured on BA. Weird. I feel there are many more Midwest and East Coast BA'ers out there, and maybe local support factors in quite a bit, but these breweries make phenomenal products at a competitive price. Cheers!

Except for Fremont (and, increasingly, Bale Breaker) a lot of breweries in the PNW fit this description. From tiny backyard Nanos to multi-thousand bbl regional breweries, we got lots of hidden gems.

I feel I take O'Dell Brewing for granted sometimes, they have some outstanding beers and even the ones I don't like the style of are all done well anyway.

Boulevard, their core beers are good and can go on sale for as low as $6 a six pack and $10-11 a 12. And the smokestack series has some great beers.

Knee Deep is seriously underrated. I've included their stuff as local extras a few times in trades (on reddit, I'm a noob as far as these forums go) and everyone has specifically mentioned they really enjoyed them. Simtra seems to be a particularly big winner.

It'll never work, they're coming like the walking dead, chanting "beer, beer, beer"! You will be overrun by The Seekers of Cantillon and Stuff, a tough bunch of knights.

Sure, but then we just flash a BCBS at 'em, and throw it towards Chicago. The Rocky Mountains serve as funnel to Denver, then it's all downhill to Asheville. We got this.

That would be kinda like Lake Agassiz. I think your plan will work.
