Reminder sign-ups close tomorrow. It's time for the next round of #GIF (Growler It Forward)! If you'd like to participate: BM your info (name, address, email, any shipping restrictions, etc.) with the subject 'GIF' if you'd like to be involved. I'll keep sign-ups open until July 4th at 11:59PM. -Fill up the growler with a quality beer from a local brewery -Ninja off to a random member in the GIF -Once they get it, they drink the growler and post a #VBS. Once the growler is empty, recipient signs the growler with the sharpie / pen included. Additionally, there will be a wrapped "challenge" bottle in the box. There will be a written challenge that must be completed and proven prior to unwrapping and drinking the bottle. If you complete the challenge, please replace the bottle you earned with a new challenge and challenge bottle prior to shipping along the new box. If for some reason you cannot video or take a picture of yourself doing the challenge due to job reasons, we can think up a more appropriate challenge. This is open to anyone who participated in the first four rounds of the Newbie BIF.

Pron timezzzzz (sorry for delay, got box opened, changed my shorts, then had to leave and didn't get home till late) @azuelke hit me with a monster, porch crushing box. That damn thing weighed about 40 lbs and was a perfect clown car packing of beer. 1st the little guys - So many new ticks New Glarus - Totally Naked (love NG and I looove pale ales) Karben4 - Silk Scorpion - another in my style wheelhouse 3 Sheeps - Cashmere Hammer (love stouts) Stone Arch - Sessions Central Waters - BA Cherry Stout (should have been a want, great series of beer) Lakefront - Hop Jockey (just had some friends who went to the brewery and had good things to say) Oso - Grooves (I've heard soooo many good things about these guys, am super excited as I love sours) New Glarus - Moon Man (want) Hoof Hearted - Musk of the Minotaur (loved everything I've had from Hoof) New Glarus - Two Women (more NG love) Now the Biggies - More new ticks Toppling Goliath - Golden Nugget (So happy to try Decorah version) Toppling Goliath - Thresher (yessssss) Toppling Goliath - Galaxy Dry Hopped Psuedo Sue (wannnnttt, so much lusty eyes at this one) Central Waters - Brewhouse Coffee Stout (my buddy @pnelting said this beer got him into coffee stouts, excited to try) 3 Sheeps - Happy Summer Ale (had never heard of these guys but looks good) Adam - This box was awesome. Oh wait - There's more... My wrapped beers Adam didn't just send the minimum of 2 wrapped beers, he sent 2 small ones and 2 big ones. Honestly the curiosity is killliinngge me. He also sent some BA maple syrup which i'm stoked to try out. Man once again, super box, and I'm sure someone will be fuking up your porch in the near future.
That's Golden Nugget w/Mosaic, not the standard GN. 3 Sheeps is a local brewery here that on distros in state along with IL and MN. Happy Summer is part of their limited line and I had it from the bottle last year and on tap at the brewery this year. It was better on tap this year, not sure if they changed anything, but none the less, a killer local IPA.
@azuelke are the wrapped bottles time sensitive? Ideally we'd all get into these in less than a month or two but this box has a fair amount of hops.
@Yourahoser Nope, feel free to hit them whenever you want. And in all honesty, the big ones weren't meant to be "wrapped", those are just the bags I placed them in. But if you want to keep them a mystery and try them as such, feel free.
The last few weeks (and next few as well) have been/will be what my father refers to as a Target Rich Environment as far as local releases go. As such: Hint 4: My target will be receiving more than one box (possibly three) of beer during the month of July. Hint 5: My target has participated in at least one round of this BIF in the past. (IE not a newbie newbie) Congrats to @Yourahoser for receiving an amazing box to kick off the round. Hope you enjoy all Northern goodness.
