What beer are you drinking now? #1352

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! I am still sore after yesterday's Mohican trail ride, but I will do some stretching this morning to see if I can ease the pain out of my quad to ride again today. I want to go to Royalview trail in Strongsville to ride for a few hours. Not as demanding or technical as Mohican, but it is fun with a lot of nice scenery. Might hit up Brew Kettle afterward as it is only 10 minutes from the trailhead.

Beers this morning:

Outstanding DIPA! Flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, passion fruit, melon, berry, lemon/orange peel, and pine; with moderate honey, caramel, toasted bread malts. Medium pine/rind bitterness; with a sticky/resinous and fairly creamy medium-full body mouthfeel. Moderate dryness and super smooth. I love Mosaic hops, really glad I got a full 6 pack of this one; only 1 left now. Hope they make it again soon.


12/2014 batch. Wow! Dense flavors of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, fudge, toasted dark bread, and light smoke/charred grain; with hints of dark fruits and some light-moderate earthy hop notes. Moderate hop/roast/char bitterness; full bodied creamy/silky mouthfeel. Minimal roasted drynesss. I love this stout after at least a year of age to mellow out the hops. A true classic RIS to style, this is tasting absolutely incredible right now.


Always amazing! Flavors of caramel, toffee, brown bread, molasses, raisin, plum, apple, bourbon, toasted oak, vanilla, coconut, and light chocolate. Balancing bourbon/oak spiciness against the sweetness; providing a bit of dryness as well. Very smooth sipping; creamy/slick medium-full body mouthfeel and finish. Low alcohol warming on the finish for 12%. I really love how much more widely available this and BBA Siberian Night have become in the last year. I can almost always get more if I want at any time now. Not really sure if I prefer this or Backwoods more, but the flavor profiles are definitely distinctly different. This beer is definitely more pronounced on the barrel notes, but it never becomes boozy at all.

Having an Italian crafted APA called Sogno Doro from La Buttiga brewery on the side of Lake Como. Good APA with a nice bitter finish! My goal for this trip was 100 new to me Italian/European beers and this is number 90 with another 4 days before heading home...I think I can, I think I can!

good morning. bumped into cans (4pks) of Even More Jesus. funny, because rarely do i bring home beers of this nature & feel like i have to open one right away but i went to bed thinking i'll crack one of those first thing tomorrow. probably cause, i don't recall ever seeing that many ounces of ET anything for less than $15

Unfortunate that you can't see the river in the background. We've been throwing bread to schools of young small mouth bass. I assume that this will make them lazy and easier to catch next summer.

Happy 4th of July weekend ba. Up and at it early with some grilling and chilling to come and possibly some fireworks tonight players. Starting with my last bottle of this on hand.
